Prenton Vets for Pets

My interest in animals began at a young age; it eventually led me to study veterinary science at Liverpool University. I qualified as a vet in 1994. Whilst I have done my share of large animal work I decided to specialise in small animal practice about 13 years ago. I have worked on the Wirral since 2001. I decided to open Prenton Vets for Pets in 2009. I was lucky enough to get a good team of people together from the very beginning. I wanted the practice to be welcoming to pets and owners alike and I think that is what we have achieved. The practice also offers good value high quality veterinary medicine and surgery. Currently the practice takes up a lot of my time but when I am not working I like to be out and about, either walking or riding my mountain bike. In winter I generally get away snowboarding.

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2014 and joined the practice in the December later that year. This is my first veterinary job out of university and it’s a great place with a great team where I can develop my skills as a vet. I especially enjoy the variety that comes with the job, every day is exciting and you never know who or what’s going to come through the door next. I’ve got a terrier cross called Jack who lives at home in Lancashire with my parents, plus I’ve recently gotten into tropical fishkeeping. Outside of work I enjoy cooking and baking, particularly meat curing and bread making.

I joined the team back in November 2012 and am a veterinary nurse, which I find enjoyable and interesting. I have two mischievous cats called Olive and Elsa, who were both stray kittens. I would love to own snakes one day as they are my favourite animals.

I have been working here at Prenton since we opened on a snowy day in February 2009. I have been working within the veterinary profession for 10 years as a receptionist. My furry gang consist of Molly (my gorgeously plump puss cat), Badger (my mud filled Border Collie), Corby(fat brown pony) and Jasper (my cow coloured traditional pony). They are all truly spoilt and take up most of my time (and money)! Outside of work I enjoy horse riding and tractor driving! !

I have worked in the Veterinary industry since 2019 and have recently qualified as a Veterinary Nurse after completing my 3 year degree at Myerscough College. I have an interest in medical nursing and would like to complete my diabetic nursing advisor course. I have a staffie called Ralphie and in my spare time I enjoy watching the football as well as spending time with my family, friends and partner.

I have been a qualified nurse since 2017 and in the veterinary industry for much longer. At home we have 3 cheeky cats and a gorgeous little boy. I have an animal behaviour degree and a particular interest in animal weight clinics. Outside of work i love to read and watch crime documentaries

I have recently joined the Prenton Team. Prior to this I joined Companion Care nearly 10 years ago and worked previously at Cardiff Bay practice. I was proprietor of my own business so I have lots of customer service experience. In my spare time my passion is for my Bullmastiffs Scarlet, Gladys, Rhondda and Seven who I actually campaign at championship and international shows.

I joined Prenton Vets for Pets in February 2015.

It's a brilliant place to work with an incredible team who have become amazing friends. It is a privilege to help the animals that come into the practice in whatever way I can, and it's great to be part of a team that does this.

I had a border collie for 18years called Millie, and now have a chug called Rudi. 

In my spare time I sing, dance and act, lover of all things beauty, spending time with family and friends, and I love travelling. 

I joined the team here at Prenton vets for pets back in May 2021, My interest in animals started at a young age with me going to collage and doing Animal care. I always wanted my own pet, I finally got my wish and now have a dog called Pippin who I love spending time with on daily walks, playing and teaching him new tricks. When I find time I enjoy playing video games with friends, including spending quality time with friends and family often going to regular cinema trips.
