Hi I am Michelle. I qualified as a vet in 1992, and have enjoyed every minute of it. I enjoy all aspects of the work and though it does have its very sad moments, it’s also very rewarding and inspiring. I’m a “softie” where animals are concerned, hence my menagerie of cats, dogs, birds, tortoise, turtle and a horse- it’s a crowded house.

I’m Beth, I am the Clinical Manager at Vets4Pets St Helens and I joined the team in 2015. I qualified in 2007 and have worked in various settings from a charity hospital to a state of the art ICU. My favourite aspects of the job are emergency & critical care and medical nursing. I have undertaken additional qualifications to enhance the care I can provide to your pets and love to learn new skills and knowledge. Home can be just as busy as work with 3 young children and 2 dogs to look after! In my spare time I love to run and go to the gym.

I’m Emily and I've been here since I qualified 5 years ago. I love working here and could think of no better team to work with, everyone here is incredible at what they do and really care about the patients, which I feel is reflected in the work we do here and is something I take great pride in. I particularly enjoy nursing patients who are undergoing surgical procedures and making what could be a stressful time for them and their owners into a positive experience for everyone. I also enjoy nursing our senior patients and working with their owners to find ways of making their lives that bit easier as they age.

I adopted the practice's live-in cat, Frank, when he came to stay with me over Christmas one year and never left! He was brought into the practice incredibly poorly and thin- he’s now fighting fit, living life to the full and getting thoroughly spoilt. I also have a Corgi named Gouda who is extremely sassy and loves to take me on adventures when I'm outside of work.

Becoming a Veterinary Nurse was definitively my vocation from a young age, and I have been a member of the Veterinary profession for 23 years.  I qualified as an RVN in 2006, and my main interests are anaesthesia and medical nursing, however I also really enjoy the nurse clinics and meeting your beloved pets.  I have a rescue Jack Russell cross with complicated behavioural issues, which has given me a valuable insight in to this area of Veterinary medicine, one which I am keen to expand on in the future.   I joined the team in April 2022 and I am really enjoying working with such great people!

Hi I am Machala. I’ve been the Practice Manager here since the very beginning so I know virtually all of the clients and pets very well. It’s lovely to see the puppies and kittens growing up, the new bunnies settling in etc. Back in 2017 I took home a cat that was treated at our surgery after a kind member of the public witnessed him being hit by a car. He was seriously injured, but now rules the roost.  Since then I have rehomed 2 more abandoned cats, I'd rehome my husband if it meant I could get more!

I have worked within the veterinary industry for over 16 years and have been at Vets4Pets St.Helens since August 2022. During my time in the industry, I have met some of the most amazing people and I have hand-reared over 200 kittens, finding them new homes through helping out various charities. The cat in my picture is my original hand-rear Mickey (who is still with me 13 years later!).

I love to meet people and their pets. I have created some amazing bonds over the years and I feel like they are my extended family. One of my favourite parts of the job is puppy and kitten cuddles. I find it hard to share the cuddles with everyone! However I also love to fuss the older pets that come in to see us.

When I am not in work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking my dogs and riding my horse along the beach or through the countryside.
