Meet the team
Abigail has dreamed of being a vet since she was a teenager and graduated from Liverpool University in 1994. In 2012 Abigail became the owner and joint venture partner of Vets4Pets Cheadle Heath.
Abigail lives with Jess, her third black Labrador who joins her everyday at work. Abigail has previously taken many exciting trips around the world but rediscovered the British countryside during training for her Kilimanjaro trip a few years ago. After successfully reaching the summit of Africa’s highest peak, her proudest achievement outside of work, she has continued to holiday & walk on a regular basis in Snowdonia, the Peaks & the Lake District with Jess & her friends!
Abigail is dedicated to providing an excellent service to all of her clients.
I joined in 2022 after graduating from Edinburgh university in 2019 and gaining experience in both mixed and small animal practices.
I have a particular interest in soft surgery and orthopaedics, and I am currently studying for a Postgraduate certificate in Small animal Surgery.
Outside of work I like to keep active. I enjoy cycling and climbing, exploring the roads and views of the British countryside and completed Lands end to John o’Groats in 2021.
I am looking forward to developing with the practice and expanding the services we offer at Vets4Pets Cheadle.
Shannon qualified in July 2018 after studying for 3 years at The Royal Veterinary College, and joined our team soon after. She has a particular interest in surgical and dental nursing and a passion for large breed dogs.
Marina joined the team in 2015 and having had a long managerial career she is responsible for running the business side of the practice. She has been around animals all her life and has a particular passion for dogs and horses.
Sharon is our senior team member on the front desk team. She is a qualified animal nursing assistant, a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (and holds instructor status) and has completed her BVNA companion animal behaviour training. Her background and experience make her a great source of first line information for our clients.
Mia joined our front desk team in the latter part of 2021. A challenging role that requires a high level of knowledge and understanding, it will provide her with a sound basis on which to fulfil her aspiration of moving into a veterinary nursing role in years to come.
Charlie is our veterinary care assistant and provides general day to day assistance to both the clinical and the front desk teams.
At Vets4Pets Cheadle we are committed to giving your pets the very best care. From the gentle touch of our expert vets and nurses, through to the supporting role of our non-clinical team, we are all passionate about pet welfare, devoted to our work, and strive continually to make your time with us as positive and stress-free as possible.
We are accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, so you can be confident that our practice consistently works to the highest of standards. The practice is fully equipped with 3 consultation rooms, an operating theatre, separate cat, dog and isolation wards, a laboratory, pharmacy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and dental machine. For convenience our practice also has on-site parking.
Our clients are a huge part of what makes our practice special; we are incredibly grateful for all the support and feedback we receive and are always delighted to extend a warm welcome to new clients and pets into our Vets4Pets Cheadle family.
