Meet the team
Rob qualified from the University of Pretoria in 1999 where he had met Riaan while studying. He came across in 1999 and worked in a mixed animal practice in Bedford for two years before joining Riaan in partnership in Companion Care in Norwich. He enjoys all aspects of the work but does have an interest in cat medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, running and spending time with my family at home in UK and South Africa.

I qualified as a veterinarian in 1999 from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. I worked in a mixed animal practice in South Africa for one year, then decided to come to England for more experience and to see Britain and Europe. I did small locum work all over Britain for 2 years, and then decided to start Companion Care Norwich with Robert Walker in 2002.
Over the past few years I have developed a special interest in small animal dermatology and orthopaedic surgery.
When not at work I enjoy doing endurance sports like triathlon, running and cycling. I also enjoy spending time at home with my family, and two cats Beanie and Ozzy.

Hannah graduated from Royal Veterinary College in 2013 and has spent time working in various practices in the UK and Australia. She joined Vets4Pets in 2017 and in 2021 became Head Veterinary Surgeon. Her main interests are internal medicine and imaging. Hannah love cats and has a naughty tortoiseshell called Hovis.

Alex qualified as a veterinary surgeon from University of Warmia and Mazury in Poland, in March 2006 and became a member of Royal Veterinary Collage (MRCVS) in July 2006. .
She is a small animal vet with a passion for surgery and eyes, having completed her Certificate in Ophthalmology in 2013 and her GP Certificate in Small Animal Ophalmology.
Alex has been working for Companion Care since October 2009 and when she's not working she takes care of her two sons. In her spare time Alex likes to paint.
Michael qualified as a vet from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2007, after completing an BSc degree in Zoology. He has worked in small animal practice in South Africa and Norfolk, and has been at Companion Care in Norwich since 2011. He enjoys the challenge and variety on offer as a small animal GP vet and especially enjoys dog and cat surgery.
In his spare time Michael enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including exploring Norfolk with his wife Helen, children, travelling, photography and playing cricket for a local village team.

Sergio qualified as a veterinary surgeon in Brazil in 1995 and did a Master degree in the University of Lisbon in 2014 about Heart Worms in dogs. Sergio loves surgery and internal medicine.
Sergio is also passionate about cycling. In his spare times, Sergio enjoys spending time in his garage doing bicycle mechanics and cycling with his family, friends and on his own

Clare qualified in 2006 as a registered veterinary nurse and been working at Vets4pets since 2012.
After she qualified she extended her knowledge in nursing of exotic species and companion animal behaviour.
She had the pleasure of volunteering out in South Africa working with the amazing wildlife.
She is a British marine mammal medic and helps to assist with seal, dolphin and whale rescues.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, horse riding and skiing.
She has two children, a horse, two cats and lots off Guinea pigs because she is a little bit of a crazy Guinea pig lady.
Gill joined the group in January 2013 as head nurse of Sprowston Companion Care. She has a varied experience within the veterinary world working within mixed and exotic practices. She spent just over two years working as a staff nurse at the RSPCA hospital in Putney, and then transferred to West London as Head Nurse and became the lead assessor in a 5 clinic group.
She escaped the rat race to move to the calm of Norfolk in 2010, where she worked as a head nurse in a small animal surgery. She is a clinical coach, assisting students through the training, this is an important part of her job ensuring the best care for everyone within the group.
Time away from work is spent supporting Wales rugby, looking after a couch potato Jack Russell, and a large rescue cat with a passion for wildlife.

Georgia joined the nursing team in May 2013. She started her student nurse training in September 2014. She enjoys the medical nursing within the clinic and being able to expand her knowledge. Outside of work hours Georgia Spends time playing with her cross breed dogs.
Maisie has been at Vets4Pets since 2016, and has been an RVN since 2019. She loves all aspects of nursing, particularly anaesthesia and medical nursing. She is currently undertaking an advanced nursing course and am looks forward to completing her anaesthesia certificate.
In her spare time she enjoys playing Xbox with her husband Ayden, and snuggling with her two feline babies, Tilly and Bailey.

Amy has been with the practice since March 2017, she started as a veterinary care assistant and went on to study Veterinary Nursing. Amy qualified as an RVN in 2021.
She enjoys all aspects of nursing but particularly loves emergency Anaesthesia and Analgesia, as well as emergency nursing. Amy has completed the Royal Veterinary Colleges' Advanced Veterinary Nursing Certificate in Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2023.
Outside of work, you can find Amy spending lots of time with her husband Jack, two dogs Tilly and Delilah, and her cat Prancer.
Amy enjoys playing squash and going for very long walks with her dogs.

Kimberley has been with Vets4Pets since December 2020. She started with us as Veterinary Care Assistant and has completed her Nursing training with us to become a Veterinary Nurse.
Having already completed an Animal Care level three diploma she has always known this is the career for her. She has a very mischievous Maine Coon X called Malone who has kept our vets busy on several occasions. She loves spending time adventuring outdoors with her son Hunter. She also enjoys keeping herself fit and active and spending time with her family and friends.
It’s been a dream of Jodie's to work at a veterinary practice since completing her animal science degree, and she hopes to progress as a qualified veterinary nurse soon. She enjoys assisting in all areas of the practice, especially caring for the hospital patients and broadening her knowledge of animal health and welfare.
In her spare time, Jodie enjoys travelling, reading, and walking her five year old border collie Murphy.
Louise joined us in June 2021 as a veterinary care assistant. She loves her role at the practice and always aims to treat every pet as if it’s her own. Louise’s dream job is to become a Veterinary Nurse. Louise spends a lot off her spare time with her pets and also enjoys long walks and loves going to the cinema or bowling!
Kirsten joined the team in November 2021 as a veterinary care assistant, hoping that she can soon begin her journey to becoming a veterinary nurse as it’s something she’s always wanted to be. In her spare time she enjoys going out with friends and going to the gym
Nicole is a VCA hoping to progress her career into veterinary nursing at Vets4Pets. She has a 4 year old ragdoll named Maeve and an aquarium full of tropical fish. Nicole enjoys skiing, fitness classes and cinema trips in her spare time.
Imogen joined Vets4Pets in 2021 after completing a foundation degree in animal management and conservation at Anglia Ruskin university. She hopes to train as a veterinary nurse in the not too distant future.
Outside of work she enjoys travelling, going to music festivals & looking after her two cats Humbug and Buttons.

Debbie joined Companion Care at the beginning of 2009, she thoroughly enjoys meeting and greeting all the pets who attend our surgery.
Debbie has a dog and two cats. Her family live in Spain so often visits there and volunteers at their local dog rescue.
In her spare time she enjoys her five grandchildren and socialising with friends and family.
Dawn joined Companion Care in July 2003 after 14 years at NU. She really enjoys working at Vets4pets, meeting clients and their pets.

Katrina started working for Companion Care Vets back in September 2019 as a receptionist, she has worked in a range of pet jobs one of which was Hearing Dogs for Deaf People where she did a course on Pet Bereavement and is responsible for the pet bereavements within the practice.
She absolutely love her job, she has a wonderful husband, two fabulous dogs, a snake and many fish. She loves to cook, socialise with her fantastic neighbours, walk the dogs and meet new people.
