Mr Devinder Singh

Hi, I am Devinder (Dev) and I am the Owner and Head Veterinary Surgeon at Vets4Pets Hull Stoneferry. I qualified in 2004 from the Punjab Agricultural University in India and decided to open my own practice in March 2016.
- What is your favourite animal and why?
Dogs – I think they are amazing and find how they help people astonishing, especially seizure alert dogs and guide dogs for the blind.
- What pets do you have and what are their names?
I have no pets, my two children keep me busy enough on my days off work!
- What is the best pet name you have ever come across?
Mozzalina!
- What is your favourite famous animal?
Marley the Labrador from Marley and Me.
- What is the best aspect of work at your practice?
I enjoy all aspects of my work, especially working with my team and helping return poorly pets to health.
- When you are not at work, what do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy travelling, going on walks, eating out and watching movies at the cinema.

Hi, I am Emily. I moved to London in 2012 to study at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) to study for 4 years for my BSc in Veterinary Nursing and graduated at Westminster Cathedral Hall. I have been with Vets4Pets Hull Stoneferry since July 2016.
- What is your favourite animal and why?
Horses because what little doesn’t dream of having their own!
- What pets do you have and what are their names?
A Cocker Spaniel called Dexter and three horses called Jack, Chester and Zylan

Mozzarella
- What is your favourite famous animal?
Black Beauty
- What is the best aspect of work at your practice?
I get to work with a great team, although we are a small team we are all close friends. Also, I get to be involved in a mixture of nursing tasks including nurse consults, inpatient care, clinical coaching anaesthesia and emergencies.
- When you are not at work, what do you enjoy doing?
Going to concerts with my friends, eating out, competing my horses in dressage and spending time with my family.
Hi, I am Nikki. I joined Vets4Pets Hull Stoneferry in January 2018, I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017.

Rabbits, because they all have such varied personalities!

I have a cat called Poppy and 2 rabbits called Norris and Pearl.

Hi, I am Zaklin. I joined Vets4Pets Hull Stoneferry in June 2021. I am currently working towards becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
- What is your favourite animal and why?
Horses, as I have been around them from being a child. Although I have recently adopted my first cat who has become my best friend!
- What pets do you have and what are their names?
I have 2 dogs, Sal who is an 18 year old Shih-Tzu and Tilly a 4 year old Dalmatian. As well as 2 horses called Dougie who is a 6 year old welsh pony and Bertie who is a 20 year old cob. I also have a one year old British Short Hair cat called Ivy.
- What is the best pet name you have ever come across?
Beef & Bisto or Harry & Potter!
- What is your favourite famous animal?
Spirit the horse from the movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
- What is the best aspect of work at your practice?
Working in a small team which has made us all close friends.
- When you are not at work, what do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy riding my horses and looking after my rather large collection of plants (current plant count: 62!)

Hi, my name is Carla. I joined Vets4Pets Hull Stoneferry in March 2020 as a Vet Care Assistant. Since then I have worked incredibly hard and graduated in December to become a fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse. I have always had a true love for animals. From being a little girl all I ever wanted was to be an RVN, now that dream has come true.
- What is your favourite animal and why?
Cats, just because they are so strange! I love their weirdness.
- What pets do you have and what are their names?
I have 2 cats, a 5 year old Ragdoll called Mia and a 3 year old British Short Hair called Monty.

A cat called covid

Sea Biscuit, the American race horse

I love that we are a small close knit team. We are more like family than colleagues,

I enjoy going to the gym, playing ice hockey and spending time with my family, friends and cats.

Hi, I am Emma. I have been with Vets4Pets Hull Stoneferry since it opened in March 2016. I started off as a receptionist and have since progressed to Practice Manager which I am incredibly proud of.
- What is your favourite animal and why?
I have been fascinated with whales since I went whale watching when travelling South Africa on a conservation tour.
- What pets do you have and what are their names?
I have 2 rescue dogs, a 15 year old lurcher called Samson and a 3 year old miniature dachshund called Marble. Plus 2 rescue rabbits called Gambit & Quill, and 2 snakes called Violet and Noodle.
- What is the best pet name you have ever come across?
Its a toss up between a cat called Brexit, because he could never decide whether he wanted to be in or out or a tortoise called Volde-Tort!
- What is your favourite famous animal?
Hachi from the movie ‘A Dogs Tail’. I find the true story of Hachis unwavering love and devotion for his owner a true testament to the loyalty of dogs.
- What is the best aspect of work at your practice?
I enjoying getting to know the clients and their pets and supporting them throughout their animals life, whether that is giving advice on toilet training a new puppy or being a shoulder to cry on after their beloved pets have passed away.
- When you are not at work, what do you enjoy doing?
Me and my husband are big fans of real ale and craft cider and love travelling to different breweries in the UK. We are also huge Marvel & DC fans and enjoy watching the movies. I am an avid book reader and read in most of my spare time. Walking my dogs is like therapy to me and a long beach or countryside walk with some pub lunch thrown in is my idea of a perfect day out. I also really enjoy pub quizzes and Escape Rooms.

Dogs, they are just such loyal and caring souls.

I have a rescue Standard Dachshund called Ernie who I got from the Dogs Trust.

This is a hard choice but I think I’d have to say goats! They are just so cheeky, happy and loving.

Bowie or Ziggy – I am a big fa of David Bowie!

I am very family orientated and spend most of my time making memories with my children.
