Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I was born and brought up in Glasgow and attended Glasgow University Veterinary School. I graduated in 2004 so I have over a decade of experience in small animal practice. After graduation I spent a year as an intern in a referral practice in Essex before moving into first opinion practice in London. I spent the majority of my time in London working for a hospital-based practice where my duties included looking after the Metropolitan police dogs of south London. After leaving London I worked for 2 years in Aberdeen running a branch practice for a large veterinary group. After leaving Aberdeen I spent a year working and traveling in Australia and New Zealand before returning home to open the Glasgow Forge practice. We have now been open for two years and the surgery is just continuing to grow and expand which has been great to oversee. I live in Glasgow with my wife Sarah (we recently got married in Iceland September 2016). Also at home is my geriatric 3-legged rescue cat called Cheeky who features in the practice photos. We also have some new additions to the family…a ginger rescue cat called Grettir (Icelandic name for the famous Garfield), Sylvester and Larry. I enjoy the variety of small animal first opinion practice but I particularly enjoy discussing preventative health care with owners and dealing with skin cases. I am currently studying a master’s degree in ‘Advanced Clinical Practice’ part-time at the University of Edinburgh.
Hello,
I'm Amelia, one of the Vets at Vets4Pets Glasgow Forge.
I moved up to Glasgow from North Wales for Vet School and haven't left since! I graduated in 2023 and have loved getting to know lots of our clients here in the past few months.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading and visiting family nearby - I haven't got a fury friend of my own yet, but that's a matter of time!
We look forward to Poppy joining our Glasgow Forge team September 2024.
Hi, I’m Poppy, I grew up in the Highlands and moved to Glasgow for university - graduating in 2024 - and loved it here so much I decided to stay!
I’m looking forward to meeting and building relationships with clients and developing my skills and knowledge in general veterinary practice.
In my spare time I love to read, crochet, and go to the gym. I don’t have any pets of my own yet, but love visiting home to see my family’s two cats and my brother’s crazy Labrador!
Hi, I am a Registered veterinary nurse and studied at Edinburgh Napier University. I completed all placements here at Glasgow Forge since September 2016 and officially joined the team in January 2019.
I enjoy all aspects of my job, in particular surgical nursing. I currently have two pets of my own, a black Labrador called Kobe and a Ragdoll cat called Freya.
My name is Lynne. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2000 while working at the Glasgow
University Practice in Lanark. I really enjoy working in small animal practice but have also been
involved with farm animal and emergency out of hours care.
I joined Vets4pets in 2021 and enjoy all aspects of the job. I have experience in many different areas
of veterinary care and particularly like to be involved with anaesthesia and theatre procedures.
I have 4 cats at home, including a 3-legged rescue I took on several years ago, and 2 large dogs, a
Bernese Mountain Dog and an Alaskan Malamute.
Hi! Im Rosanna and I have been working at the Forge Vets4Pets in various roles since 2017 and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2022. I don't currently have any pets in Glasgow but I have a 15 year old family Labrador back home who over the years has made an appearance as the reception dog who some of you may remember! I love all aspects of working as an RVN and am interested in completing further certificates in the future to expand my knowledge and experience but for now I'm happy just enjoying my job with all your lovely pets!
Hi! I’m Nicole one of the nurses here at Vets4pets. I started my veterinary nursing course back in 2018, I have been working within the practice since 2019 where I had started as a student on placement to complete my final year. Following the conclusion of my final student year I was lucky enough to be offered a job. I love my job, being able to care for animals is something that really interests me plus my colleagues & team are amazing to work with.
At home I have two family Staffies called Lucy and Belle. We have recently just taken on a rescue dog who needed a lot of attention and training but is now fitting in great with the other dogs! Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine, The thing I love the most is that every day is different. I am looking forward to continuing my career here as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Hi, I recently joined Vets4Pets Glasgow Forge in May 2024.
I'm looking forward to meeting and caring for all of our patients/your beloved pets.
I have a particular interest in small animal care and husbandry, especially rabbits and hamsters.
I live at home with my husband, 2 house rabbits and 4 hamsters. I also have a horse that I spend much of spare time with.
When I'm not looking after my range of animals, I can be found camping, running or travelling to different countries and volunteering at different animal charities abroad.
I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2003. My main interests were anesthesia and surgical cases. Over the years, I have enjoyed varied roles within the veterinary profession progressing into team leadership and management where I enjoy helping to support others.
Being new to Glasgow Forge Vets4Pets is a perfect opportunity to continue to build a great team, we continually look to deliver the best practice and service possible for our clients.
We have a wonderful team of committed and experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses and Receptionists, always striving to provide the best level of patient care!
