Meet the team
I graduated from Harper Adams University in 2014 with a degree in Bioveterinary Science. I then worked for a large cattle genetics company and in large animal nutrition. I have now hung up my wellies but enjoy working with the smaller animals. Horses are my sanctuary. I have a blue staffie called Bluebell and a little boy called Arthur. Arthur, Bluebell and horses keep me very busy.
I qualified from the University of Bristol in 2006, initially working in mixed animal Practice in Yorkshire, trying my best to be James Herriot. I have since focused on small animal practice, working for the RSPCA, locuming and now owning my Practice.
My most unusual career moment to date was amputating an iguana’s right hemipenes, but I am happy concentrating on furry pets now. Weekends are spent cheering on the Telford Tigers or exploring with our staffie, who started off as a foster dog and soon had her paws firmly under the table. I always strive to treat my patients as if they are my own.
I enjoy performing interesting surgeries and the happiness of pets and their owners when complex treatment plans are successful. Outside of work I enjoy cooking, riding my motorbike and spending quality time with my wife and children.
After working as a Veterinary Receptionist for 5 years I decided to take the plunge and begin my training as a Veterinary Nurse in 2015, studying at Bottle Green in Derby. I am currently completing my certificate in anaesthetics to advance my knowledge and skills to provide a more balanced and safe anaesthesia for patients. I have two crazy spaniels who I love taking to the beach and to the lakes. My one spaniel, Sam, will run for miles.
My special interests are all things cats! I enjoy feline nursing and find their behaviour very interesting. Recently achieved a distinction with my ISFM certificate. Outside of work I enjoy going to the cinema, going for walks, gym classes and being at home with my cat!
I have a keen interest in inpatient care working alongside the rest of the clinical team and laboratory work. I like exploring new places with my two dogs Lyra and Reiver and I love reading a good thriller.
My passion is customer care, ensuring every interaction is positive and informative. I enjoy problem solving with an emphasis on thinking outside the box. I love crafting, design and technology. I love nothing more than learning a new skill.
I enjoy helping people, offering advice and of course all the cats that come in. I love theme parks, swimming, self care, baking and spending time my babies - 2 and 4 legged ones.
I love learning about all the different cases that come in to the practice and helping out clients as best as I can. Outside of work I love going for walks and shopping trips.
