Meet the team
I was born and bred in Manchester, attending Manchester High School for Girls. I qualified as a vet in 1996 from the University of Liverpool and have worked in and around Greater Manchester ever since. My four-legged family includes a Border Terrier, Bo and a Working Cocker Spaniel, Rudie. The two legged family includes a husband and two sons. I am proud to be serving the pets and their humans of Prestwich and the surrounding areas. I am confident that you will be happy with the personal care that my team and I aim to provide.
Hi, I'm Debbie. I grew up around Manchester and came back to the North West after graduating from Edinburgh Veterinary School in 2009. I have a special interest in surgery and hold a post-graduate surgical certificate. I love all the exotic pets that come through the door too after working in an exotics practice following graduation. I joined the Prestwich team in 2022 but had a bit off time off to grow my two-legged family. At home, I live with my partner, our daughter and our cats, Tess and Roly.
Hello. I come from Malaysia. I graduated from Murdoch University in Australia. I have a special interest in exotic animal medicine and surgeries. I embrace different experiences in life and am always keen to learn new things. Back home, my fur babies are dogs Bear and Skye, a one-eyed cat Jack and my queen rabbit Guinness. I do my best to help animals and the people who care for them.
Hi, my name is Sally and I joined Vets4Pets Prestwich in November 2018. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2001. I have worked in and around Bury since then, gaining valuable experience. My previous role was in a very busy first and second opinion practice as Head Nurse. I have a keen interest in anaesthesia and surgical nursing. I am married with two children, and a rescue dog called Star.
My name is Karen. I qualified as an Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2018. I have ten cats of my own and I foster and hand rear kittens. I enjoy baking in my spare time; I also like to read and go to the cinema with my husband and two children.
Hi, my name is Katie. I’m a second year student veterinary nurse. I love all areas of my role and have a keen interest in weight clinics. At home I live with my partner Harry, my cat called Kobe, and Bailey the mini dachshund X. I enjoy baking and seeing friends and going on walks in my spare time and when I have the time getting lost in a good book!
Hi, my name is Miriam. I qualified as an RVN in 2014. I returned to education to complete an Honours degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2015. I have worked for Vets4Pets for 10 years. I live in the Bury area with my husband and three children and also my two guinea pigs, Acorn and Olive. In my spare time I enjoy socialising, going for long walks and spending time with my family.
I love being involved with the pets and their families. My experience with animals comes from always having a variety of pets growing up. I have a Staffie cross called Zara who we love. It’s great working as a team. Who wouldn't love cuddling kittens, puppies and small furies all day as part of your job. BONUS.
Hello, my name is Karon and I am the newest member of the reception team, having previously worked at Salford Companion Care. My background is in the finance industry. I have a dog, Clifford, who is the apple of my eye.
I'm the VCA here at Prestwich, qualifying in 2019. I assist in all areas of the practice from reception, kennels or cattery and theatre. I also get to give lots of cuddles to the pets that come in for procedures, and who doesn't want cuddles while recovering from surgery?! At home, I have a child, and three cats to keep me busy.
Hello, my name is Georgia and I am relatively new to veterinary care. I graduated from Salford University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife conservation and zoo biology and hope to one day become a qualified veterinary nurse. I am a massive animal lover and I am very passionate about nature and the environment. I currently own a blue Staffy called Blue (very original name), and did have another Staffy called Rosie. I hope to own more dogs in the future as you can never have enough furry friends :).
I have always loved animals from being a small child. I spent several years working in a vet when I was younger, and after changing to work in retail and supply chain for years, I returned to veterinary work in 2019 and have never looked back!
I have lots of pets – 6 cats, 3 dogs, 3 rabbits and lots of fish – plus 2 kids (3 if you include the husband!) which take up a lot of my time, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Vets4Pets Prestwich is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
