I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2007 and initially remained there teaching Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology before the lure of working in practice took over and I moved back home. My first two roles were in another Vets For Pets clinic and then subsequently an independent Tier 3 veterinary hospital in South Yorkshire.

During this time I met my now husband hence the move to Leicestershire and Oadby Vets For Pets in 2010. Since qualifying I have also gained further qualifications in animal behaviour, acupuncture and small animal surgery. I became Practice Director at Oadby in 2012, and have also helped set up another two Vets For Pets clinics in Rugby.

I enjoy the variety that working in general practice brings along with the additional challenges of owning and managing a busy clinic. I'm immensely proud to head up our phenomenal team and the passion, dedication and skills that they all have.

Outside of work I enjoying spending time with my family and pets with my hobbies including horse riding, walking, cooking and travelling.

I qualified from the University of Surrey in 2023. I have a keen interest in surgery so I spent some time volunteering at a spay and neuter clinic in India just before I started at the practice. I’ve also spent some time in South Africa volunteering with local wildlife vets to support the work involved in the conservation of endangered species like rhinos.

Outside of work I enjoy travelling and finding new places to explore for hikes, making sure to find a nice cafe to stop for cake and coffee!

I joined the practice in 2023 after transferring from another Vets4Pets. While at Oadby I've transitioned into the Practice Administrator role, and before this had been working as a Client Care Advisor since 2021.

I have a young cat called Alfie who is full of love and energy, and recently adopted a new kitten called Sidney, who will move mountains for some dreamies. In my time I've had dogs, cats, birds and all manner of small furries. I can't wait to bring some more into my home.

I take a huge amount of joy in my job, getting to see the progress of our patients as they get better, and being able to help in whatever way we're able to is incredibly satisfying, and every day has a new surprise!

I love the variety of work that each day brings to the practice. We have a lovely working atmosphere with colleagues and good relationships with the clients and their pets. I feel most rewarded when a poorly pet goes home better.

I joined the practice October 2022 after transferring from another Vets4Pets in Sheffield.

I have returned home back to Leicester with my retired racing greyhound, Romeo (Racing name was Romeo Superhero!),  who I adopted in 2018 from the Greyhound Trust. I used to volunteer at the trust every week to walk and groom the Greyhounds and loved it!

In my spare time I am a freelance illustrator/artist specialising in fantasy themed art and pet portraits but I also love playing video games, exploring new places and walking with Romeo.

The best thing I enjoy about working at Vets4Pets is meeting the clients and the variety of pets we have attending the practice daily - even better when I can get pet cuddles too!

I joined the practice in 2024 & love the energetic atmosphere I’ve experienced so far. I’ve worked in customer service based roles for many years but finally feel like I’ve found a workplace that fulfils as well as challenges.

My current companion is a springer spaniel called Messi who (like myself) loves walks in the countryside where we live. Don’t ask me if I’m a cat or dog person because I couldn’t possibly choose!

Vets For Pets Oadby opened in 2004 and is committed to bringing you affordable, tailored, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice. Our facilities include an in house lab, pharmacy, theatre, separate dog and cat hospitalisation, dental suite, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!

We have an excellent local reputation and pride ourselves on going the extra mile for all of our clients and their pets whether existing or new.
