Advanced services

We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other practices.

Orthopaedics

Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to allow us to perform orthopaedic surgery in our practice. If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.

I graduated from Liverpool Vet School in 2005 and since then I have worked solely in small animal practice in Greater Manchester, Cheshire and North Wales. When the opportunity came up to run my own practice in my own neighbourhood of Chester I jumped at the chance. I love being a small animal vet and I am particularly passionate about surgery. I gained my RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (General Small Animal Surgery) in December 2012. I am also an RCVS listed Advanced Practitioner. Outside of work I provide food and shelter for my local wild hedgehog population, I enjoy running, hill walking, doing DIY with my husband and going on holidays abroad, especially to wine-producing areas.

I have worked in various roles at vets’ practices for the past 9 years and ultimately achieved my dream of becoming a veterinary surgeon when I graduated from the University of Liverpool School of Veterinary Science in 2020. I have been lucky enough to combine two of my main loves, travelling and animal care, by working with charities in India and Africa giving neutering and shelter medicine support where it is needed most.  After experiencing the shelter medicine and conditions of the countries I have visited I feel so fortunate to be part of such a modern and professional practice here in the UK! I have a particular passion for small animal surgery and anaesthesia and I am currently studying towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care.

When I am not working, I love nothing more than spending time with my family, including our two whippets (Rupert and Henry) and Howard the tortoise. As well as travelling, skiing, scuba-diving, open water swimming and cycling.

I have been a qualified vet for 10 years.

I started my career in mixed practice but soon realised that my passion was working with small animals and the variety I get from day to day.

I officially joined the Chester Caldy team in September 2021 and work part time for the practice after having my little girls.

Some of you may already recognise me from before September 2021 as I worked for Emma as a locum on/off for 3 years or so.

While I am not at work, I have a pretty full house with my husband, 2 step children and 2 toddlers !

I am a 3-year qualified vet having graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021. I recently moved to Chester with my partner and am really enjoying life in the North-West!

I've specialised in small animal practice since graduation and love the variety of patients and conditions I encounter on a daily basis. I have a particular interest in surgical conditions, and am currently completing a post-graduate certificate in Small Animal Surgery, with the hope to becoming an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in the next few years. I also enjoy echocardiography, and treating exotic patients.

In my spare time I enjoy hiking with my partner and our dogs, Lexie and Cleo. I also love horse-riding and going to concerts and festivals.

I am a Student Nurse here at Chester Caldy Vets4Pets and I been here since August 2021, starting as a Veterinary Care Assistant.

My background so far is mainly in wildlife conservation and monitoring as well as wildlife rescue.

Outside of work you'll find me out rock climbing in North Wales or tending to my precious vegetable garden at home.

In 2021, my family rescued our lovely Saluki called Queenie. Her name reflects her regal personality and pampering requirements! She enjoys chasing pigeons and sunbathing.

In 2022 I also rescued my lovely dog Pam who was brought into the practice as a stray!

I have moved from Pets At Home Chester Caldy where I have worked for the past 12 years to Vets4Pets Chester Caldy as a Veterinary Care Assistant. (So if my face looks familiar - that's probably why!) I’ve always wanted to work with animals. I have a National Certificate in Animal Management and a Foundation Degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. I currently own two lovely cats Lexie and Maisie, and two very cute guinea pigs Simba and Fudge. When I am not working I am busy with my two little boys. In the future I hope to further my career by training to become a Veterinary Nurse here at Vets4Pets.

I started working here at Chester Caldy Vets4Pets as a Client Care Advisor in March 2019. I have since worked my way up to Head Client Care Advisor, then Administration Manager, and most recently, I was promoted to Practice Manager!

I have a diploma in Non-Clinical Veterinary Client Care and I also have a certificate in Veterinary Practice Management, so I know everything there is to know when it comes to looking after our clients, meaning you are in very safe hands!

I worked as a veterinary receptionist elsewhere before I started here, and I can honestly say that it is an absolutely brilliant place to work! Everybody here is so friendly and I have loved getting to know our lovely clients and their beautiful pets over the last few years!

You will now mainly find me in the office, but I will still occasionally be on the reception desk waiting to greet you and your pets with a friendly face!

Before I worked in the veterinary industry, I worked in retail and whilst I enjoyed the customer facing aspect of the job, as a huge animal lover, I always longed to work with animals. That is why when the opportunity to become a veterinary receptionist, I jumped at the chance and I have never looked back!

I live with my husband, daughter, Milo the dog, two lionhead rabbits Benji and Bernie and a Hermanns tortoise, Dobby.

Having pets myself, I fully understand how important our clients animals are to them and how much a part of the family they are. In my spare time I love to spend as much time with my family as possible.  I look forward to welcoming you and your pets into our lovely practice!
