Margarita Kuncheva-Dobreva
Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon
MRCVS
My name is Margarita Kuncheva-Dobreva and I am the JVP at Vets4Pets Longwell Green. I am originally from Bulgaria and graduated from the Trakia University of Veterinary Medicine in Stara Zagora – Bulgaria in 2004. I started working in a small animal practice straight after I qualified and continued to expand my knowledge and skills there for the next 13 years. My main areas of interest are small animal surgery and internal medicine. Helping pets in all shapes and sizes has always been my passion, but I have to admit I have a soft spot for cats! I began my journey with Vets4Pets in 2017 when I moved to London and started work as a Head Veterinary Surgeon in one of the practices. Working there naturally led my desire and ambition to open my own practice, continuing a successful cooperation with Vets4Pets alongside my colleague Nikolay Radev here in Bristol. My job has been truly rewarding and very enjoyable, I love meeting all our clients and looking after their pets. I enjoy spending my spare time with my family exploring the great outdoors. I love sports and try to keep a healthy lifestyle, but I do allow myself a nice portion of English fish and chips every now and then.
My name is Nikolay Radev and I am the JVP at Vets4Pets in Bristol Longwell Green. I graduated back in 2006 from the Trakia University in Bulgaria and also studied at a secondary veterinary school four years prior to that. I have done two large animal work experiences during my time at the University. Firstly, I spent 11 months working with large animals in Finland and then I spent 26 months in Morris, Minnesota working with pigs. When I came to the U.K. back in 2006 I initially worked with pigs again for 18 months. I started working as a small animal vet in September 2009 and I found it a lot more rewarding and enjoyable than being a farm vet. I enjoy being a veterinary surgeon as every day is different and brings a new challenge. Outside of work I enjoy the great outdoors, looking after my daughter and taking her to the park when I am at home. I love football and have just started going to the gym.
My name is Gokberk but everyone calls me Berk and I’m one of the Veterinary Surgeons at Vets4Pets Longwell Green. I graduated in 2023 from the University of Ankara in Turkey and moved to Bristol shortly after. I have a particular interest in small animal surgery and a special love of cats and I especially miss my two cats Pena and Bacaksiz who I hope to bring over to join me as soon as possible.
I am originally from Bulgaria, where I graduated as a veterinary surgeon. In 2014 I decided to relocate to UK where I worked in couple of small animal practices in Somerset and Bristol, before joining our team in 2022.
I enjoy meeting all of our clients with their amazing pets during consults.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my three boys and two Bengal cats Toffee and Molly. I also love going to the theatre and concerts whenever I get a chance.
My name is Virginia but everyone calls me Gin. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2004. I still very much enjoy my job after all these years, it was the natural career path for me having grown up on a farm in Somerset. In my spare time I love to travel and surf. I’m a music obsessive, I’ve recently been trying my hand at DJ’ing and love to attend music festivals. I’m just about to qualify as a yoga teacher. Sadly I don’t have any pets at the moment as life won’t allow one, I have to get my animal ‘fix’ at work looking after our clients pets. One day I’ll live by the sea with a motley crew of rescued animals.
Claire Perkins
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Hi, my name’s Leah and I became a Client Care Advisor for Vets4pets Longwell Green in December 2021. Working in the animal industry has been a dream of mine from a very young age and I am so thankful for the amazing team for welcoming me in to this role. I grew up with a chocolate Labrador called Pippin for 16 years of my life and we did everything together! I absolutely adore all animals, however I do have a soft spot for large dogs, the bigger the better! I have met so many amazing clients and their pets since working here and I cannot wait to meet many more.
