Practice Owner and Head Veterinary Surgeon. Cat Friendly Clinic Advocate

Growing up with pet Labradors and a love for the African bush and wildlife conservation, I was always destined to find a career working with animals. I graduated from Bristol University in 2015 and, after working in South Africa as a wildlife vet for several months, have been part of the wonderful Richmond team since early 2016. I have a keen interest in working up medical cases in house and am looking to further my knowledge and skills in orthopaedic surgery and ultrasonography in the near future.
Outside of work nothing beats grabbing a coffee and going for a walk with my fiancée, and I love keeping fit, catching up with friends and family, and playing and captaining my local cricket team in the summer.
I recently graduated from the University of Bristol in June 2023 and started work here at Richmond Vets4Pets soon after in August.
I absolutely love being a part of the awesome team here, and looking after all your furry friends- you can always find me having cuddles with the inpatients!
I have a particular interest in emergency and critical care, and plan on gaining more qualifications in this area so that I can really help your pet out in a crisis.
Outside of work, I'll often be playing sports, whether that is lacrosse, running or going to the gym. I also love to travel, and after taking part in a charity neutering programme in Thailand last year and falling in love with all the stray dogs, I plan on getting involved in more projects like this!

I qualified as a veterinary nurse in September 2012. I took a break to raise my son and have pretty much been working at Vets4pets since 2016. I have a keen interest in companion animal behaviour as well as pain management. I have a cat called Morris and a Cavalier King Charles called Humphrey. In my spare time I like to keep fit, spend time with friends and shop.
I am a strong believer that everything in life happens for a reason. After being unable to work for almost 10 years due to illness I took it as a sign when a precious gift entered my life in the form of a bonkers Staffordshire bull terrier called Murdock. When Murdock was 2 years old he was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. I discovered whilst caring for him over the 8 years he was with me that I wanted to help other animals. I joined Vets4Pets Richmond in 2015 as a receptionist and was inspired by the incredible nursing team to train as a veterinary nurse. I studied for 3 years at MYF College and worked every day as an apprentice until in 2021 my dream was realised and I graduated as a fully qualified RVN. As a type 1 diabetic I am keen to gain more understanding of supportive nutrition and develop my skills nursing endocrine patients. I am truly grateful and proud to be a member of the team at Vets4Pets Richmond.
I have been working here at Vets4Pets Richmond since it opened in February 2015. I started out as a veterinary receptionist and then was given the opportunity to be trained as veterinary care assistant and gained my VCA qualification through the College of Animal Welfare. After this I had the honour of being asked to become the Practice Manager.
I am the proud owner of a gorgeous black and white cat named Heisenberg. She has a bit of a reputation as a sassy cat and is not afraid to let you know if she isn’t your biggest fan but I wouldn’t change her for the world! If I had the room (and Heisenberg would allow it) I would have a lot more animals.
I started working for Vets4Pets Richmond in 2018 as a receptionist after working in retail since leaving school. I have found the job really rewarding as I have always had a passion for animals and caring for them. After not really knowing what I wanted to do as a career I have finally found it, as I am hoping to begin training to become a veterinary nurse soon!
I currently have 1 cat called Turbo who is a regular here sadly and three Chihuahuas called Lola, Daizy & Deigo.
I started working at Richmond Vets4pets in August 2021 after finishing college in June where I studied animal care for 3 years. I have always had a passion for animals and now I am in the line of work where I get to see animals daily (and say hello when possible) and see all the treatment that goes on for them. I am hoping in the future to start studying and eventually become a nurse.
I have always grew up with animals around me and now have my own dog called Bella ( who is a Staffordshire bull terrier cross mastiff) who comes to work with me to see everyone when we have space. Bella is a very loving dog and LOVES her treats.
