Meet the team
I grew up in Somerset, graduating from Cambridge in 2007 and spent over 7 years as an Army vet, covering small animal practice worldwide, including in Germany and Afghanistan. I have an interest in small animal medicine, rehabilitation and working dogs. With my management background, the challenge to become a Joint Venture Partner with my wife Sonia and Vets4Pets was an obvious next step. I have completed a postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and am also working towards a Masters in Business Administration. I am generally kept busy with my three young children but if I do have any spare time I also enjoy running, coaching rugby for Yeovil U’6s, and dabbling in DIY!
I grew up on a farm in the Peak District and knew from an early age that I wanted to become a vet. I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2007 and started my veterinary career in a mixed practice in Cornwall. I've since worked in a variety of small animal and mixed practices, in addition to spending three years as an Army vet. I have recently completed my CertAVP (Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice) which has been a great achievement while also raising three young children! I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice, with a particular interest in small animal surgery and emergency and critical care. In my spare time I try to keep fit, look after our golden labrador Goldie, ponies and chickens, and occasionally relax with a good book!
I qualified in 2007 from the Royal Veterinary College in London and after a stint in New Zealand, returned to Hampshire where I have remained ever since.
I have worked in small animal first opinion practice since graduating and love getting to know people and their furry friends! I particularly enjoy surgery and also all aspects of preventative care, especially trying to improve welfare and making life enjoyable for our patients.
I have found a very happy new home here at Vets4Pets Amesbury and am proud to be part of such an awesome team.
When not working, I spend my time with my 2 kids, husband and retirement village of old lady guinea pigs!
I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2017. I started my veterinary career back home in the Lake District, and after a stint in Catterick and York, we relocated to Amesbury in September last year.
I particularly enjoy the surgical side of practice, and gained my PG Cert in small animal surgery last year. Outside of work, you might find me in the gym, trick training with my spaniel, or trying to convince my lazy Labrador to go for a walk (a losing battle if it’s raining)Sarah Cooper is a Veterinary Ophthalmologist with over 15 years experience of treating eye cases big and small, ranging from hamsters to horses as well as dogs and cats. She qualified in 1999 as a veterinary Surgeon and obtained further Certification in Ophthalmology in 2004. She is also an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner (AVP) in Veterinary Ophthalmology. Sarah is a referral vet and is happy to see any cases with eye problems, which can be booked in via our reception team. On occasion she will also act as a locum when our other vets are on leave.
I have always wanted to work with animals and began my journey studying for a BSc in Animal Management at Sparsholt College, graduating in 2012. During this time I developed a strong knowledge of exotic species and pursued my love of Asian Elephants working with them in the UK and abroad. I then undertook my Veterinary Nurse training, qualifying in 2014 from Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing in Dorchester. I am really passionate about being an RVN, especially forming strong bonds with clients and their pets.
At home I enjoy baking and spending time outdoors with my husband, our two children and dog Nellie; as well as horse riding when I get some time to myself!
I have been in various roles in veterinary practice since 2004.
During that time, I have studied to achieve a FdSC in Animal Management and Applied Science, and qualified from Lynwood with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. In 2018 I completed a Certificate in Canine/Feline Veterinary Nutrition which I very much enjoyed and look forward to putting into practice.
Within my work at the practice, I enjoy practical tasks such as diagnostic imaging and laboratory work.
I currently have a rescue cat but I grew up with dogs and also kept rats for many years. If I’m not working you can find me climbing or running – my favourite hobbies!
Sarah qualified as an RVN in 2012 and has done a mixture of referral work as well as first opinion. She has a keen interest in canine behaviour and is studying for a advanced diploma in canine behaviour. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and her Cavapoo Dennis.
I graduated in 2018 with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing from Sparsholt College, whilst working in a small animal practice.
I was raised in the London borough of Redbridge and worked for the charity Blue Cross Animal Hospital in Victoria. Inspired by the team I then decided to pursue a change of career after having worked in aesthetic medicine.
I have developed a keen interest in theatre nursing and enjoy in-patient care. I hope to further my studies with a certificate in Anaesthesia and develop my clinical skills during my first year as a qualified RVN. I also have a personal goal to volunteer for a conservation programme with endangered species in the future.
My spare time is spent raising my son with my partner and we really enjoy living in the Wiltshire countryside with our Tolling Retriever Louie.
I joined Vets4Pets in August 2021 and have loved getting to know the amazing team. I recently bought a house with my Fiance which we hope to fill with fur children! In my spare time I love camping and exploring the great outdoors. I have a keen interest in cat friendly practice and anaesthesia and look forward to getting to know all of the clients lovely pets!
Having grown up around animals from a very young age, I've always had a love for them. I am a huge horse lover but also have a love for dogs, cats and small furries (I'm a sucker for a fluffy rabbit!) I have two horses, a dog, a cat and a rabbit with whom I spend my spare time. I'm regularly out competing at local events with my two horses. I've loved every second of working at Vets 4 Pets Amesbury. I can't wait to meet more of you and your pets in the coming months.
I have grown up around animals for as long as I can recall... dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, horses and a parrot! I love all things equestrian and I’m not afraid to admit to being a bit of a crazy horse lady. I live with my boyfriend and our two crazy cockers, Fred and Wilma. I spent 5 years in the motor industry with Ford and Volkswagen. My change in career came after Wilma was involved in an accident that required surgery. The level of support and care we received from Vets4Pets was amazing and inspired me to want to provide other pet owners with the same feeling we had. I am so happy and grateful to be a part of the Vets4PetsPets team. You may now also see me with the clinical team in pink scrubs - as I begin the journey in training to be a Veterinary Care Assistant and hopefully, a registered veterinary nurse!
As a dedicated student veterinary nurse, I'm passionate about caring for animals and ensuring their well-being. Alongside my studies, I'm a proud owner of two beloved cats, two incredible snakes, and four adorable chinchillas. Through hands-on experience and academic learning, I strive to deepen my understanding of animal health and behaviour, aiming to make a positive impact in the lives of both domestic and exotic creatures. I look forward to what my year at Amesbury Vets4Pets has in store for me and am grateful to be part of a team so dedicated to the welfare of all animals.

Senior Client Care Advisor
I joined Vets4Pets as a Client Care Advisor in November 2023 and I am really enjoying being part of the team. The staff and clients have all been so welcoming and I have learnt so much from everyone.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I go to the gym several times a week and like to go walking. I have an adorable little rescue cat called Jacky, who is so gentle and doesn’t even mind me practicing playing the flute!
