Meet the team
Having originally trained in New Zealand, I graduated from Massey University in 1995 and have been practising in the UK since 1998. I worked in Essex for 7 years before having the pleasure of opening Braintree Vets4Pets in March 2014 and Maldon in August 2014. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career so far, during which time I have developed a passion for canine and feline medicine and therapeutics and a great enthusiasm for working with small furries (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters…) At home I have a pet dog and rabbit. When not at work, I enjoy the outdoors, rock music, theatre, cinema and travel.
Our head vet Nadia graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2019, before working in a busy 24 hour hospital with a varied emergency caseload for 2 years, gaining experience in internal medicine, emergency medicine, and surgery in many small animals and some exotics as well! Nadia then joined us in 2021, in the hopes of spreading her wings clinically and starting to build a client base here in Maldon.
Nadia enjoys the all the variety that being a general practitioner brings, loves meeting and getting to know our patients and their owners, and really enjoys soft tissue surgery. However, she has a particular passion for rabbit and small mammal medicine and surgery.
When she’s not tending to her furry patients, Nadia has two very spoilt mischievous bunnies Alistar and Almond at home who keep her on her toes, and loves fitness, gaming and cross-stitch!
She enjoys both medicine and surgery of all of our patients, and has a particular interest in small furry animas...particularly bunnies!
Evi joined the Veterinary Surgeon team in October 2023 from Crete in Greece.
She enjoys Veterinary medicine in all species, but has a particular fondness for our feline friends!
Gorkem (pronounced Gerkem) is from Turkey and joined the Veterinary Surgeon team in November 2023. She loves all patients, but has a particular interest in exotic patients, from reptiles to birds!
I started working in the veterinary industry July 1990 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1994. Since then I have gained over 30 years of experience and knowledge both in veterinary pharmaceuticals and within the veterinary practice. In January 2017 I took on the role of practice manager of Maldon Vets4Pets as well as continuing to be heavily involved in patient care and nursing on a day-to-day basis. This role has proved to be a fulfilling and rewarding challenge that I thoroughly enjoy.
Dawn qualified as a veterinary nurse over 30 years ago, she has a wealth of experience nursing a variety of species.

I took the job as receptionist at Maldon Vets4Pets in 2015 and got promoted to Head Receptionist 2018 throughout my time at Maldon Vets4Pets I have completed my Bronze, Silver and Gold Award from the British Veterinary Receptionist Association.
Before working at Maldon Vets4Pets I worked as a Receptionist at VetsNow Emergency Vets where I thoroughly enjoyed working with both the animals and the team this prompted my desire to work in a smaller vets practice as I get to build good relationships with colleagues, animals and clients.
