Why should I get my dog vaccinated?
There are lots of diseases out there that dogs can catch like Canine Parvovirus (normally known as Parvo), Rabies, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Distemper, Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Vaccinations are the best way to protect your dog from them.

Lungworm could be closer than you think!
The life-threatening lungworm is carried by slugs and snails. If your dog  swallows one of these common garden visitors there is a risk it could become infected.

Make neutering a top priority
Unless you are planning to breed from your dog, at Vets4Pets our vets recommend you neuter your dog due to the many health and behavioural benefits it offers

What exactly is a microchip?
Microchipping is a permanent solution that greatly increases the chances that a lost pet will be reunited safely with its owner. If a pet is stolen and recovered by authorities, a microchip might provide the only means to identify and contact the owner.

Fleas don't just itch
Don’t wait for your pet to itch or scratch before thinking about flea treatments. Effective and regular flea control will help make sure your dog and your house stay flea free.

Choosing the right diet for your dog
There is an overwhelming choice of different foods available so how do you know which one suits your?

Chocolate poisoning
Although many dogs and cats love the taste of chocolate as we do, many pet owners don’t realise the risks to their pets from eating chocolate.

Doggie Dental Care
Gum disease is actually one of the most common problems that vets see. The problems begin when plaque and tartar build up on your dog’s teeth.

Separation anxiety
Most dogs become used to the idea that their owners come and go and cope well with being on their own for periods of time. Others, however become very distressed when left alone.

Our pets can become seriously ill with heatstroke very quickly so it is important to know the signs of heatstroke so you can recognise it and take action fast.
