Meet the team
I graduated from the University of Glasgow Veterinary school in 2006, alongside Alistair. In fact we first became friends way back in 2001 during freshers week, completely unaware that this would be the start of a rather long friendship and then practice partnership!
I have spent all of my career in small animal practice in Sheffield, including a spell working in emergency out of hours. I started at Millhouses in 2010, taking the practice over in 2011. I enjoy the daily challenge of a busy small animal caseload and have recently completed my Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) with a focus on medicine. Being an owner and partner in the practice has been extremely rewarding and has allowed me to focus on providing the best clinical and customer care to our fantastic clients and their lovely furry friends.
Originally from Troon, Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland I graduated from the University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 2006, where I also happened to meet Tim at a fresher’s get together in 2001. We’ve been friends since then and business partners since 2011.
I started my veterinary career working in Northern Ireland in mixed practice, following that I worked with all sorts of animals in New Zealand. Upon returning to the UK I settled into small animal practice and haven’t looked back as this is what I have found to be most rewarding.
Every day in this job is different and I guess is what makes it incredibly interesting. I have taken special interest in orthopaedic surgery and cardiology in recent years which has allowed us to offer cutting edge treatment options for a number of conditions.
It is a privilege to be part of the great team we have here at Millhouses Vets4Pets, we really do strive to provide the best experience possible for both pets and their owners.
I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2019 and have been working here at Millhouses Vets4Pets ever since. I am originally from Nottingham, having moved up to Sheffield to join the team here! I have a keen interest in all aspects of small animal veterinary practice, and love seeing the variety of patients that come through our door!
At home I have two rescue guinea pigs called Cedric and Neville, who are both very cheeky, but also love to snuggle up on the sofa for family film nights, and a red fox Labrador called Freddie who likes to keep us all on our toes! In my spare time I love to go on long walks with Freddie and the rest of the family, before settling down to a good Netflix series.
I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2023 and have been working at Millhouses Vets4Pets since February 2024. I love all aspects of my job but have special interests in diagnostic imaging and neurology.
At home I have two lovely guinea pigs called Sirius and Albus and a grumpy old springer spaniel called Buster.
I'm Sam and I'm one of the Registered Veterinary Nurses. I graduated in 2013 and have been working here at Millhouses since 2015. My job is challenging but is also extremely rewarding and I really do love it. I enjoy all aspects of nursing especially nursing consultations. I am one of the practices' Clinical Coaches, this means I tutor student veterinary nurses in practice and help them work towards their qualification.
I have a lovely Cockapoo named Annie and a cheeky hand reared kitten named Heidi, they are both best friends and love being with each other. I enjoy baking in my spare time, I think my colleagues enjoy that too as I always bring my creations in for them to try!
Hi I'm Rebecca, one of the Senior Nurses. I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2018. I have a keen interest in medical nursing and completed a post graduate certificate in medical nursing in 2023. I am a clinical coach and work with students to help them achieve their nursing qualifications.
At home I have a Cocker Spaniel, a cat and two guinea pigs who keep me very busy.
Having worked in practice since 2016, I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2020. I previously worked at Millhouses a few years ago, before leaving to work in emergency and critical care at an out of hours provider. I came back to Millhouses after deciding to stop working nights, and am enjoying working here again.
At home I have a crested gecko called Fudge, and also pet-sit various animals for friends - including some guinea pigs and a miniature Schnauzer. My spare time is mostly spent in the gym, as I compete in strongwoman and my partner is a competitive powerlifter!
I graduated from Askham Bryan College in 2021 and joined the Millhouses team in April 2024. I have an interest in surgical nursing but love all aspects of the role and how rewarding the job is!
At home I have two cats called Marnie and Mushroom and also have a tropical fish tank.
I joined Millhouses Vets4Pets in September 2021 and I'm loving all aspects of the job. The thing that I most enjoy is making sure all pets are comfortable and loved in my care.
My lifelong aspiration has been to become a Veterinary Nurse and I am thrilled to be changing my role from a Veterinary Care Assistant to be a Student Veterinary Nurse from Sept 2022, when I start my three year Veterinary Nurse training course.
Outside of work I enjoy walking with my black Labrador Mia and horse riding. A well as socialising with family and friends.
My name is Jasmine and I'm a second year Student Veterinary nurse hoping to qualify in early 2025. I have my own cats who I love very much, but would love to have a Boxer or a Cavalier King Charles one day! I love exotics, especially guinea pigs, and love being able to meet people and their pets in consults as well as providing inpatient care to poorly pets.
I have worked at Millhouses Vets4Pets nearly as long as the practice has been opened, having been here since 2009.
As Practice Manager my role is varied and contains numerous tasks. Along with organising the smooth day to day running of the busy practice, some of the main aspects of what I do are managing and supporting the great team of colleagues, looking after the lovely customers, practice administration and ensuring high quality service throughout. All of this definitely keeps me busy but I wouldn't have it any other way!
Being part of the Millhouses Vets4Pets team is very rewarding. My favourite parts of the job are that every day is different and I love the relationship you build up with our fantastic customers and their furry family members throughout their journey with us!
At home in my free time I enjoy getting out on walks and spending time outside with my family. I have a young son who keeps both my husband and I very busy and very entertained!
Having been a constant pet owner over the years we are currently experiencing our first time without one of our own but I very much enjoy the pet cuddles and fuss that comes with working in a vets!
I'm one of the reception team here at Millhouses Vets4Pets. I have a young daughter that keeps me on my toes, and I adopted one of the stray cats from 8 Lives Cat Rescue, called Kiri; my daughter adores her, it's very sweet watching them together!
Hello, I’m one of the receptionists at Millhouses Vets4pets. I started working here in 2020 and have four dogs of my own who love to keep me on my toes. I love meeting everyone’s first babies and enjoy all the cuddles and licks we get from them all.
In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends and going for nice long walks with my dogs.
I have been a receptionist at Millhouses since November 23 and have worked in the veterinary industry for 4 years. I have a French Bulldog called Paddy and a Miniature Dachshund called Pip, a tortoise called Terrance and a rabbit called Bambi:)
Outside of work I enjoy travelling to different places and reading.
I have been a receptionist since February 2024. I am a busy mum of 2 with a little cat called Peggy. I love my job here at Millhouses meeting and greeting all of our lovely clients and their pets.
In my spare time I love being with my children, going out with friends and trying to sneak off for a spa day!
Here at Millhouses Vets4Pets, our caring and experienced veterinary team; Alistair, Tim, Molly and Chloe, work hard to provide the highest level of care for your pet, along with the best service possible.
Our fabulous nursing team; Samantha, Rebecca, Kirsty, Amy and Katie, along with our Student Veterinary Nurses Beth and Jasmine, not only support the vets and provide excellent care for our in-patients but also offer a range of nurse consultations and specialist nursing clinics.
Your first point of contact at the practice is likely to be one of our friendly reception team; Emma, Emily, Hayley and Mia. They will be on hand throughout your practice journey and will help with appointment management, administration support and customer service.
Our Practice Manager Kirsty, organises the day to day running of the practice, offering both colleague and customer support and so, along with the Practice Partners; Tim and Alistair, is the go to person with any concerns you may have.
Millhouses Vets4Pets are a RCVS accredited tier 2 practice, this means that we adhere to the highest standards of patient care and we have also been accredited as a gold standard cat friendly practice. We recognise that not all pets are the same and do our very best to accommodate this. We have separate dog and cat waiting areas and we consider all of your pets specific needs during their visits with us.
We would also like to highlight that whilst you are very welcome to come into reception to wait for your appointments, should you or your pet be more comfortable waiting in your car or outside you can just ring on arrival and then we will let you know when we are ready for your appointment to enable you to go straight into the consultation room. We are finding that this method can be particularly beneficial for reactive pets or those that can get quite stressed coming in to see us.
We also provide a range of different offers and packages, there is something available to suit everyone to try to make caring for your furry family member a little easier on the pocket.
Please visit our Facebook page (Sheffield Vets4Pets Millhouses) for more information on our practice, any current offer information and competitions. We would love to see your beloved pets relaxing at home, so please feel free to post any photographs of your furry friends!
Please remember that we are a cashless practice and as such are only able to accept card payments.
We look forward to the journey ahead with both you and your pets. If you have any questions or need any further information, please give us a call on 0114 236 4070 or alternatively you can get in touch via WhatsApp on 07897 033905.
