I am Alison  the lead vet at Vets4Pets Livingston. I joined the practice in May 2010. I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1999. I initially worked in mixed practice (beef, sheep and equine) before deciding to specialise in small animals after a few years in a busy West Yorkshire practice. I am now very experienced in all companion animal species with a particular interest in ophthalmology and feline geriatric medicine. I enjoy splitting my time between consulting and operating. In my leisure time I enjoy going to the gym and outdoor pursuits. I have two young children and two dogs (and occasionally my cat if he gets bored hunting!)

I joined vet4pets in 2016 after having worked in various different administrative positions. This one, is by far my favourite! With not having any pets of my own at the moment, coming into work is like getting to meet a new pet every day! My favourite part of the job, is getting to see the progress the sick animals make, from seeing how poorly they are when they come in, to how happy and healthy they are when they leave. Knowing that we are able to make our clients happy by making sure their best friend is well looked after, always makes our day.
