Advanced services
We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other practices.
Orthopaedics
Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to allow us to perform orthopaedic surgery in our practice. If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.
Laparoscopy surgery (keyhole surgery)
Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical technique to explore the abdomen with two to three small ‘keyhole’ incisions. We are pleased to have invested considerably in our team and kit to make minimally invasive surgery available to our clients.

Ultrasound
We are pleased to be able to offer ultrasound scanning in practice, which is a painless way to look inside your pet’s body to find out what’s going on.

Meet the team
Hello! I graduated in 2014 in Bucharest, Romania. After graduation I found a big attraction to Soft Tissue surgery and started to study Reconstructive surgery and Wound Management in 2015, as these are my main areas of interest. I have been to many veterinary surgical events in Europe, have written articles and have been involved in podcasts presenting different aspects about wound management. I also hold a Official Controls Qualification (Veterinary) OCQ(V), which allows me to sign passports, I acquired this in 2020. I obtained the PgCert/GPCert Small Animal Surgery in October 2022. And I start the GPCert Small Animal Oncology in May 2024. I came to the UK in June 2018 to work, and joined the Vets4Pets Lancaster team as lead vet in December 2021.
Andrew qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2005 and has been working for Vets4Pets since 2009. He covers shifts for Lancaster, Preston, Lytham and Blackpool Vets4Pets. He has a wide range of experience, both in consulting and surgery and also performs some orthopaedic procedures.
Hi everyone! I am Hazem, born and raised in Syria and qualified in Ankara, Turkey in 2022. Then striaght away after my graduation I had the chance to join Lancaster Vets4Pets family who has been welcoming since day one.
I love my profession which allows me to make our lovely pets feel better and healthier, and making their illness hardship pass as easily and smoothly as possible on them and their owners.
I am a nature lover as well, so on a sunny or a rainy day you might find me trecking in one of the amazing Peak District hills.
Wish you all an amazing healthy lives.
Hello, I'm Cath and I joined the team here in September 2023.
After starting my veterinary career in 2011 as a student veterinary nurse and progressed from there. I spent 8 years working in different practices across the UK from referral, charity and emergency out of hours as a Registered Veterinary Nurse before I decided to start studying again to become a veterinary surgeon - qualifying in June 2023.
I enjoy first opinion practice and the variety of cases that come along with it, but also meeting and helping clients and their pets. It is very rewarding helping animals feel better again. I have keen interests in ultrasonography and emergency + critical care.
Outside of work, I keep myself busy with horses, dogs, cats and chickens of my own, regularly competing both horses in showjumping and my collie at agility. I also compete in triathlons and enjoy keeping myself fit in the gym.
Hi, I'm Natalie. I graduated from Edinburgh university in 2010, and have been working in small animal first opinion practice ever since. I enjoy spending time with the animals, but I really like getting to know the owners too! I love the variety found in general practice, but my favourite thing is ultrasound scanning. I have done lots of training with the scanner, and so if your pet has a heart or abdominal condition, you might be booked in with me for a scan, which I am very enthusiastic about.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time out and about with my family, exploring the lakes, and catching up with friends over a cuppa!
Dr Laura Underwood
Veterinary Surgeon
BSc BVSc PgCert (SAD) RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Dermatology
I qualified from the university of Liverpool in 2014 with a degree in veterinary medicine and also veterinary pathology. I started in small animal practice providing out of hours and day to day care.
I became interested in dermatology after seeing so many patients struggling with skin disease. I knew I wanted to give them the best care I could so in 2017 I started my certificate in dermatology. It soon became my passion as I could see the improvements to my patients and enjoyed providing support to their owners. I continued to study and now hold advanced practitioners status, this means I must work to a high standard and keep up to date on everything dermatology!
I am very happy to be providing a referral dermatology service with my nurse Beccy of whom I have worked with for several years.
In my spare time you will find me looking after my two young children who are adorable and cheeky so they keep me on my toes!

Hello, my name is Marloes, I am the Senior Veterinary Nurse here at Lancaster Vets4Pets. I am a keen consulting nurse, those that have seen me before know that I struggle to stop talking. I have a love of anything feline, and hold a the ISFM Feline Nursing Certificate. I have also completed my advanced nursing certificate in Teaching, Coaching and Mentoring. I have worked here in Lancaster since November 2018, with a little break around 2020/21. When I am not at work I am an avid reader and I have a bit of a different hobby, I do Historical Reenactment where I portray a Norman Lady as well as a 12th century Norman warrior. I adopted a little blind cat in 2019 who has been keeping myself and my partner on our toes! I am looking forward meeting all of your pets!
Hi, my name is Claire. I joined the Vets4Pets Lancaster team in 2017 as a student nurse and graduated as an Registered Veterinary Nurse in October 2020, after 3 years of training on the FdSc degree course at Myerscough College. I obtained my BSc (Hons) in 2022, and am now working towards a advanced nursing certificate in dentistry. I love everything that my job entails. When I am not working I love nothing more than being outdoors with my two crazy Spaniels and spending time with my two cats at home.
My name is Emily, I completed my training at a veterinary practice in the area and was very happy to join the team here at Vets4Pets Lancaster in May. I qualified as a veterinary Nurse in July 2021. I like to see medical patients from start to finish, supporting them in their journey to get healthy. I also enjoy consulting, building relationships with my clients and their pets. I have a special interest in exotics and hope to expand my knowledge of them in future. At home I have a staffie and a yorkshire terrier, as well as a cat and a variety of small furries.
Hi my name is Emily! I joined the team in 2019 as a student and have qualified as an RVN in July 2021. I love being a nurse, it is always so rewarding being able to nurse animals back to health. I have my own gorgeous cat called George and spend my free days going on long walks and spending time with friends and family
Hello! I’m Becky, one of the student veterinary nurses. I have been with the practice since February 2021 as an animal nursing assistant, and started my veterinary nursing training not long after. At home, I have 5 tarantulas, 2 guinea pigs; Tigger and Piglet, a Poochon called Knoxx, and an asthmatic Roborovski dwarf hamster named Hedwig. I love to spend my spare time with my animals and family, who refer to my house as ‘The Zoo’. My favourite thing about being a student nurse is seeing all the animals who come to see us; the big, small, weird, and wonderful, and of course all the puppy and kitten cuddles!
Hi, my name is Hollie and I have a 13 year old Shih Tzu called Gizmo. I have worked for Vets4Pets on reception since February 2022 and started my veterinary nursing training in January 2023. I have loved animals since I was a child so to be able to work with many different animals every day is the best job ever!
I’m Louise, Veterinary Nurse. I’ve been nursing now for over 28 years. I still say I’ve not worked a day in my life as this is my dream job. Every day is filled with new challenges & lots of furry cuddles.
I only work part-time now but still enjoy every moment and I’m very lucky to work within such a great team.
I have 3 cats, Louie, Oslo & Lottie, and a dog named Koukla. Out of work my hobbies are horse riding, jigsaws, and audio books. I have two beautiful daughters and a wonderful partner.
Hi, my name is Silvia! I am a Veterinary Care Assistant at Vets4Pets Lancaster.
Growing up in Spain, I spent time working with lots of different species of animals.
I have the privilege to work with our amazing clients and their pets every day, and I can’t wait to welcome you to the practice and cuddle with your fluffiest members of the family.
I love to spend my free time hiking in the Lakes District where I have been living for years. I enjoy challenging myself with my camera taking wildlife photographs.
I started working in veterinary practice 10 years ago as a veterinary receptionist and progressed through to qualifying as an RVN in May 2020. I have always been passionate about patient care and working to the highest possible standard. I had a keen interest in skin and dermatology from my initial studies so the opportunity to specialise and work alongside Laura was the perfect role for me! We have worked closely together for my entire veterinary career and have been working together as a specialist team for close to three years.
I love working directly with clients and patients and seeing the improvements to both skin and the quality of life of our patients as they go hand in hand due to dermatological conditions affecting our pets in such a profound way. I have gained my veterinary nursing merit award in dermatology and have learnt so much around this from my own studies, attending British veterinary dermatology study group days and weekends and gaining valuable insights and skills from Laura.
In my spare time you will find me out hiking with my two lovely little terriers Ivy and Moss, riding my horse Teddy and spending time with family and friends.
Hi, my name is Fran. I am privileged to work with a great team here at Vets4Pets. I have a Chihuahua named Macy and a husband of many years.

I joined the Vets4Pets team in September 2021. I could be one of the first people you talk as I work the front of house as the Client Care Coordinator. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my 2 boys supporting them at football and my husband as he is a football couch, I also like just chilling with a good film and having a glass of gin. I look forward to seeing you all and your fur babies.
Hi, I’m Liz and I started here at Vets4Pets in March 2022 after realising I really wanted to work with animals. I have two cats at home, 14 year old Bertie and now 4 month old Maeby, and a curly haired tarantula called Method Man! I love meeting new people and even more when they have their pets with them so this is a great job for me and I look forward to greeting you all to the practice.
I have worked for Vets4Pets for around ten years now, originally recruited to open the Lytham practice. Since then I have worked in various practices both in England and Scotland front of house. The practice with the most diverse range of patients was Drumchapel in Glasgow where we tended to a huge snowy owl for a beak trim, an Iguana for removal of an abscess and George the pig who would come in store and eat whatever he could from the shelves.
This practice in Lancaster is by far the largest and busiest of all practices I have worked in, and I am looking forward to my role of Practice Administrator and getting to know everyone and the surrounding area of Lancaster.
Hello, my name is Lauren. I am originally from Portsmouth and moved up to Morecambe in November 2018. I started with the practice in September 2022. At home I have a cat called Beatrice, a Chihuahua called Phillip, a Great Dane called Lando and a horse called Rodders.
Hello, I’m Jo one of the Client Care Advisor’s here at Lancaster Vets4Pets. I have been at Lancaster Vets4Pets since January 2022 but I have been with the Vets4Pets family since 2018. I look forward to seeing you in practice.
