Iain Cope graduated in 2006 from Edinburgh University and has worked in mixed, small animal, and exotics and zoo practices. He gained his certificate in Zoological Medicine in 2011 and since 2014 is an RCVS recognized Advanced Practitioner in Zoological Medicine. Iain is the JVP of Vets4Pets Newmarket and is pleased to be able to offer a cat, dog, rabbit and exotic animal practice with the latest equipment and facilities. Iain also teaches nurses and veterinary surgeons and talks nationally and internationally. He has been published in peer reviewed veterinary journals and participates on boards and committees. Iain owns a tortoise called Matilda and four Leopard Geckos.

Zoë graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2018 and has been part of the Vet4Pets Newmarket team ever since. Unable to decide if she is more of a dog or cat person she has particular interest in both dog and cat medicine and surgery. Zoë has a post graduate certificate in small animal (canine and feline) medicine.

Outside of work Zoë is a rugby player for Shelford Rugby Club and Harlequins supporter - a great way of letting off some steam! She is also an avid movie fan and at home Zoë has house cats, Harley and Quinn, to keep her entertained.

Tegan qualified as a veterinary surgeon at the Royal Veterinary College in London and joined the Vets4Pets Newmarket team in September 2022. She currently enjoys all aspects of small animal first opinion practice and is looking forward to getting more involved with the various exotic species that visit the practice.

Outside of work, she enjoys baking (with varied success), walks, and playing piano. At the end of a long day she is most likely to be found on the sofa with a good book or starting a new Netflix series.

Varsha graduated from Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University in 2020 and further pursued her Master of Science degree in Global Wildlife Health and Conservation from the University of Bristol. Varsha qualified to practice as a Veterinary Surgeon in the UK in 2022, with a dream of working in Wildlife conservation in the future. Varsha is super excited to be a part of our team and to work with all the different exotic patients we see.

In the evening, Varsha loves to play board/card games with her husband or just cosy up with a good book.

Outside of work, Rachel volunteers as a Girl Guide leader and enjoys taking Guides camping. She also enjoys spending time gardening, baking and swimming, when not spending time with her husband and Hungarian Vizslador, Samson (who likes to keep Rachel on her toes!).

Lucy graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2024 and joined the Vets4Pets Newmarket team in September 2024. She enjoys working with cats and dogs, and is really looking forward to getting involved with all of the exotic species that come to the practice.
Outside of work she enjoys kayaking, hiking and anything that involves being outdoors! She loves travelling and exploring new places, but is also very happy curled up on the sofa with a cup of tea and a good TV show. She has a tortoise called Toby who lives at home with her parents and keeps everybody entertained with his antics!

Emily qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2014 and achieved her Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2019. She has worked in first opinion and referral hospitals around Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire before joining Newmarket Vets4Pets in October 2016.

Emily loves all aspects of nursing, it gives her a great sense of satisfaction to be able to help and care for sick animals back to health. Emily has a keen interest in anaesthesia, nursing clinics, neonatal care and nursing exotic patients.

At home Emily has two cats (Beanie and Lola) and two tortoises (Squishy and Pebbles).

Wendy joined the Vets4Pets Newmarket team in June 2022 after previously working as a primary school teacher. This role involved looking after the class pets which included hamsters, rats and stick insects.
 
Being a Veterinary Care assistant brings a lot of variety and Wendy loves the opportunity to care for such a wide range of animals as well as the face to face client interaction.
 
Wendy swims with the Masters squad at her local club as well as teaching and organising galas. She is kept busy at home with her dogs, cat and chickens, as well as her family!

Charlee graduated as a veterinary nurse from Askham Bryan University Centre in 2023 and then joined the Newmarket team in June the same year.

She enjoys many areas of veterinary nursing, but her key interests are anaesthesia and exotic species nursing. Charlee finds it extremely rewarding to nurse sick animals and return them home to their families when feeling better.
 
In Charlee's spare time she enjoys socialising with family and friends and horse riding. At home she has an old rescue Staffordshire bull terrier called summer.

Samantha joined the team in June 2023 and previously worked as a veterinary care assistant and client care advisor in a large veterinary referral hospital. Working in all the specialist disciplines, gave Samantha an opportunity to develop in patient and client care and particularly enjoyed working in the emergency and critical care department. 
 
Having 3 cats called Ollie Purrs, Summer and Chebs, a dog called Sweep and 4 Guinea pigs, Samantha is kept busy with her 5 children and a house full of pets. Samantha and her family enjoy spending time outdoors exploring woodland walks and growing vegetables in their garden patch, as well as hosting games nights with family and friends. 
 
Samantha joins the Newmarket team wanting to advance her knowledge in general practice and is excited to see the variety of animals visiting the practice.
In September 2024, Samantha started her Veterinary Nurse training.

Lily joined the Vets4Pets Newmarket team in October 2021 after having previously worked as a receptionist at a hairdressers. Having worked in kennels whilst at college studying animal care, Lily knew she wanted to work with animals. Her favourite part of the job is chatting to our clients and seeing all the animals arriving for their appointments.

Lily loves to listen to music, especially songs from the 80's, and enjoys cuddles with her cat Morris in her free time.

Outside of work she enjoys Horse Riding with her two daughters. She has a cheeky Dalmation called Gimli and an elderly cat Shadow which she rescued when she was a student.

We also have on site car parking too and easy access off the A14!
