Orthopaedics
Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to allow us to perform orthopaedic surgery in our practice. If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapists can help the rehabilitation of patients recovering from surgery and injuries. Pets with ongoing conditions such as osteoarthritis can also benefit, along with those requiring help to achieve weight loss or increase fitness.

I am the Joint Venture Partner for the Guernsey Vets for Pets surgeries, opening our St Martins branch in 2004 and our St Sampsons branch in 2010. I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa and I graduated with my first degree of a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Ichthyology: Fisheries science, from Rhodes University and completed my Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2000 from the University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort. I have worked in Cape Town, Saudi Arabia and the UK but have been in Guernsey since 2004 when I opened the first practice. I particularly enjoy orthopaedic, neurology and soft tissue surgery and have completed the Post Graduate Degree in Small Animal Surgery in 2018, the Advanced Orthopaedic Certificate in 2019 and have just finished the Advanced Soft Tissue Surgery Certificate. I have recently been recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon with the award of Advanced Veterinary Practioner in Surgery. I enjoy traveling and spending time gardening and walking the dogs.
I was born and grew up in Vienna, Austria. I graduated as Veterinary Surgeon from the University of Vienna in 2001. I then spent 5 years working in the UK before I moved back to Austria to open my own practice.
I sold my practice in 2012 to move with my son, Kimo, to work as a senior clinician for Vets for Pets in Guernsey. I am completing my Post Graduate Degree in Small Animal Internal medicine and I am responsible for administering our internal Dermatology referral clinic. I love the island life, enjoy the beach and taking our two dogs Eevee and Sebastian for walks.
Dr Raz Feldmesser
Associate Veterinary Surgeon
MRCVS Advanced Practitioner in Diagnostic Imaging, PGc DI., GPc DI.
I graduated in the University of Veterinary Medicine in Košice Slovakia in 2010. I then started my professional journey in London where I worked in a variety of different small animal practices and referral hospitals.
In July 2013, I moved to the island with my wife Clarisse, to join the Vets for pets family. Now my family has now grown larger, and we have two beautiful little girls, Alma and Nina, who were both born here on the island. I have a strong interest in Radiology and Interventional Radiology, and in 2021 I qualified as a Post-Graduate Certificate Holder in imaging. Further, I am now a recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon, as an Advanced Practitioner in Diagnostic imaging (Radiography, Ultrasonography, CT and MRI modalities).
I am also passionate about non-invasive soft tissue surgery (Keyhole) and endoscopic procedures and I am already busy studying for the next level in these fields.
I qualified as a Veterinarian in 2014 from the University if Berlin. Following my degree, I enrolled in an Internship in Neurology at the Small the Animal Hospital in the University of Berlin. After a short Break I moved to Guernsey and started at Vets for Pets. Currently I am working on a Master’s Degree in Neurology at the European School for Advanced Veterinarian Medicine at the University of Luxembourg. In the surgery, I am responsible for all the neurology case work ups and I also enjoy internal medicine cases.
In my spare time I enjoy Cross-fit, traveling and all water-sports, particularly surfing.
I was born in Germany but grew up in The Gambia, in West Africa. I graduated from the Veterinary University of Hanover, Germany in 2017 after finishing my prior bachelor degree in equine science and management. After gaining experience in a 24 hour referral hospital in Dresden for two years, I decided I wanted a change which led me to finding an opterunity to start at Guernsey Vets for Pets. I have a keen interest in emergency medecine and critical care and am currently working towards a postgraduate certificate in this area. I have moved over to Guernsey 2 years ago with my little rescue Yorkshire Terrier Bonsai. I really enjoy living and working in Guernsey and have also started to teach spinning classes in a fitness facility on the Island in my free time.
Vicky Babbé studied Veterinary Medicine at Cambridge University and graduated in 2003. She moved to Guernsey and joined Vets for Pets in 2011, working part time as she bought up her young family, having worked in mixed and small animal practice in the UK.
Vicky’s main interests have developed over her career, ranging from ophthalmology to chronic pain management to emergency medicine and she happily engages in all three during her time at Vets for Pets!
You may meet Vicky during a weekend shift if your pet has an emergency. You may also see her during the post op rehabilitation clinics or chronic pain clinics where she uses a combination of medicines, acupuncture and physiotherapy modalities to help your pet recover and improve their quality of life, working together with our Physiotherapist Nikki Shingler.
She also manages more challenging eye problems for your pet, engaged by Vets for Pets as a peripatetic RCVS certified ophthalmologist to give Vets for Pets patients a more advanced level of care for any eye condition.
At home Vicky enjoys the company of her menagerie of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and chickens! You may see her out at events with her family, or hanging out at the beach! She loves to meet your dogs out walking so do say hello!
I was born and grew up in South Africa. I always wanted to be a veterinarian, however I completed a MSc in Biology (Integrative Bioscience, Oxford) before completing my veterinary degree and graduated from the University of Pretoria (Onderstepoort) in 2005.
I worked as a small animal veterinarian in Cape Town for 2 years after which I purchased a small veterinary practise and Vetshop in Paarl, South Africa. During this time I worked and managed this practice and Vetshop (Felix + Fido) and did some volunteer work as a surgeon at the Stellenbosch Animal Welfare. I also worked as a locum and later a permanent senior veterinarian at Brackenfell Animal Clinic for 4 years.
I moved to the beautiful island of Guernsey in October 2022, joining the wonderful Vets for pets team. I love the island life and beautiful beaches. I am now also completing a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. I am also responsible for arranging the in-house soft tissue referral clinic.

I joined the team at Vets for Pets at the end of January 2017. Working with animals is something I have always wanted to do. Since qualifying as a RVN, I have taken on a greater management role within the nursing team, and was thrilled to be offered the Head Nurse roll in 2021. Our team has grown and we now have a number of veterinary nurses and veterinary care assistants, and I am very proud of how they have managed to meet our clinical expertise and client care during the very challenging covid period.
I left school after my 12th year in order to pursue a career in animal care, and after applying for a job was luck enough to be picked up by the Vets for pets team as a trainee care assistant in October 2015. I have lived with animals all my life and currently own three cats, two dogs and two parrots and have volunteered at the local animal shelter since 2012 where I discovered my passion for animals.
I joined the Vet for pets team in 2021. I have 3 years experience within veterinary practice. In my own time I enjoy riding horses that I have grown up with and caring for my own animals. I also enjoy outdoor sports. It's always been my passion to work with animals and I am currently undergoing my nursing diploma. At home I own a menagerie of animal including; horses, cats, dogs and guinea pigs.

My name is Lucy, I joined the team at Vets for Pets in January 2022. I have always had a growing passion for animals! I first fell in love with animals when I came home to my first dog, Gala. She is now 16 years and going strong! All through my school years I knew I wanted to work with animals and had my heart set on achieving this goal, so when I saw this opportunity I couldn't give it a miss. I'm always busy at home looking after my three dogs, two rabbits, four fish and my cat Max, as well as helping out at the stables where I ride. I am extremely grateful to be working with such a loving and caring team and am excited for what the future holds.
I have been in the veterinary industry for 3 years and joined the team at Vets for Pets in January 2023. I have always had a passion for working with animals since i was little and spend most of my free time with my own.
I am hoping to start my animal nursing course in the new year and then hopefully going onto study to become a qualified vet nurse.
I was born in South Africa, a town near Cape Town and went to La Rochelle High school till i was seventeen and moved to Guernsey.
