Hi, I'm Jo, Joint Venture Partner at Catterick Vets4Pets.

I qualified from the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College, University of Edinburgh in 1999. I spent my early years as a vet in mixed practice in Stokesley, a small market town in North Yorkshire where I gained masses of experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, from calving cows to operating on chinchillas! I moved into full time small animal work ten years ago, and this allowed me to pursue my interests in ultrasonography and small animal cardiology. At home my family pets are two fantastic cats called Chalkie and Hermit. Eventually I would love to get a border terrier to add to the family.

Outside work I like to cook Italian food. I love gardening and try to grow veg that I can use in my favourite recipes. I also enjoy going to the cinema, reading the odd novel, and I have occasionally been seen on my bike!

I decided to open Vets4Pets Catterick because I felt that my experience had given me the confidence to strike out on my own, and because I felt that I could provide the people of Catterick with the kind of practice they really need and deserve. It is hugely important to me that we have a "whole family" approach to caring for our pets. I love to engage with children and help them to care for their pets in a responsible way. I have a son myself and my family are my world. As a client you can rest assured that my team and I will treat your pet exactly as we would treat our own! My team at Catterick are all so motivated to provide exceptional quality veterinary care, and I am so proud to work with all of them.

Hello I'm Emily, I qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2016, within the nursing role my favourite areas are working in theatre being involved with a wide range of surgery and inpatient care. I absolutely love my job and couldn't see myself doing anything else! I also thoroughly enjoy teaching students and helping them pursue their career to become qualified veterinary nurses. Outside of work I enjoy taking my dog Rio for long walks in the countryside and socialising with friends and family.
