Hi, my names Alex and I’m the clinical lead vet here at Sheffield Drakehouse. I joined the practice in December 2019 and I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2014 in Romania. I have two lovely cats at home called Bob & Pukka, both cats have been rescued from within practices. I love my team at Vets4Pets Sheffield Drakehouse.

I qualified in Romania in 2013 and moved to the UK 2 years later to work in several mixed and small animal practices where I developed interests in diagnostic imaging. In 2020 I gained my Post graduate certificate in Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging.

Outside of work I love spending time with my family and friends, cycling or going on photography trips.

I have been in the veterinary industry since 2018 and have spent a lot of my time working out of hours developing a very keen interest in emergency and critical care. Since moving to day practice, I enjoy carrying out minor surgeries as well as carrying out further research into nutrition and cardiology. I have also worked as a lecturer in Animal Health and Welfare and I am a clinical coach for the practice.

During my spare time, I enjoy walks in the peak district and visiting new places.
