Meet the team
I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2018, and after spending the summer in Morocco working with the charity SPANA, looking after their working donkeys and horses, I started working at a mixed equine and small animal practice in North Yorkshire.
I spent 5 years there where I gained a love for all types of veterinary work; from emergency surgery to tricky medical cases, with one of my main interests being ultrasound imaging. I am currently working towards my certificate in Small Animal Medicine.
I have found that one of the most rewarding parts of my job is building close relationships with my clients and their pets. This helps make difficult and sad decisions easier as we are already trust each other.
I’m very lucky that I get to bring Ernie, my Border Terrier, to work, and will often be spotted walking him around Roundhay Park on a lunch break!
Outside of work I enjoy getting out into the countryside with Ernie, as well as trying to keep fit at park run and netball. All of this balanced with a passion for baking.
I look forward to meeting you and your pets at Leeds Vets for Pets!
Having graduated from Cambridge in 2022, I moved to Leeds where I started out in a busy 24/7 small animal emergency hospital. I joined Leeds Vets for Pets in January 2024 and have really enjoyed being part of the experienced and close-knit team here, and also getting to know the clients and their pets. I enjoy all facets of the job but particularly enjoy emergency medicine and surgery.
Having grown up in the Lake District, in my spare time I love to get outdoors and at the weekend you can usually find me up a mountain somewhere. I also enjoy running and photography. Recently I have been attempting to bake a sourdough loaf (haven’t got it right just yet).

Registered Veterinary Nurse and Practice Partner

I have worked at Leeds Vets4Pets since it opened in July 2010 and became a partner here in 2017. The best part of the job is nursing animals back to full health following their illnesses and surgeries. This allows me to build great relationships with clients and their pets. I have a particular interest in feline behaviour & medicine and have gained certificates in Feline Nursing and Advanced Feline Behaviour with ISFM. I am currently the Cat Advocate of the clinic. I am currently owned by a Labrador called Sammy and two cats, a sulky black & white moggy called Mrs Norris and a terribly behaved hand-reared black kitten, Beetle.
In my spare time I enjoy baking and looking after my two cats LuLu and Effy and my very greedy dog Daisy.
I started working at Leeds Vets4Pets in September 2020, I’m new to the veterinary industry as I previously worked in call centres which wasn’t the right fit for me. I’ve always had a passion for animals especially my 2 dogs Bart and Lola and also horses as I have had my own from a young age and competed in show jumping. Eventually I would like to work my way up to be a veterinary nurse as working on reception has given me a good insight into the role."
Hi I'm Aimee and I'm currently a final year veterinary nurse student.
I love busy days here at Leeds Vets for Pets!
At home I have 2 wonderful ferrets called Rambo and Hopper.
I’ve been working for Vets4Pets since November 2021, starting as a Veterinary Care Assistant and now working as a first year Student Veterinary Nurse. My previous employment was based in the pharmaceutical industry for approximately 10 years. I have a crazy working cocker spaniel called Fliss who keeps my weekends filled with walks and adventures. I am now very pleased to be on the journey to becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse for Leeds Vets4Pets.
I’ve been in the veterinary industry for over 20 years. I moved to Vets For Pets 3 years ago, I absolutely love it & love my amazing team. I have a houseful of pets including 4 cats, 4 dogs, a goat & a pony, who all keep me very busy. I love to run & walk but more walking at the moment. I have completed over 50 marathons & ultra marathons. My biggest achievement being The Spine in 2020, where I completed the full length of the Pennine Way (268 miles), with all my kit in 166 hours. I love to challenge myself & to face my fears.
We would like to extend a very warm welcome to our veterinary practice.
We are a close knit team of extremely knowledgeable, friendly and approachable staff with a wealth of experience. We pride ourselves in providing the best possible veterinary care for your pets. Our reviews speak for themselves!
Although we are here to provide care to sick and injured pets, we also see preventative healthcare as an equal, if not a more important, part of veterinary care.
Appointments with veterinary surgeons and nurses are available throughout the day. Outside of our normal working hours our clients have access to a dedicated veterinary emergency service at Leeds Birstall Vets for Pets which is open 24/7.
We look forward to meeting you and your pets!
