Meet the team
Sandra was born and raised in North London. She graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 1997.
Sandra started her career in a mixed animal practice in Wales where she stayed a year before deciding to work solely with small animals.
She worked at a practice in Surrey for eleven years then moved to a practice in Colchester for three years before realising her dream of opening Ipswich Vets4Pets in 2012.
Amy was born and raised in Ipswich. She qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2013 and worked in several small animal practices in Hertfordshire. Amy joined the Vets4Pets team in January 2018 after moving back to Ipswich.
Amy particularly enjoys surgery and diagnostic imaging and is working towards a Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery.
Zoe graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006 and has worked in Small Animal Practice, doing both first opinion and emergency work since then, while also spending some time as an Area Manager for Vets4Pets.
Zoe enjoys all aspects of the role but has a keen interest in internal medicine and imaging and is hoping to further develop her ultrasound scanning in particular.
Zoe was born and raised in Suffolk and lives near Woodbridge with her husband, young daughter, and her cat Ziggy, who was rescued as a strays.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and getting out in the Suffolk countryside, often running or wild swimming!
Mat got his UK qualification as a MRCVS in 2012 when he moved here from Poland.
Mat has shown a passion for helping animals from a young age. As a child he wanted to become a vet after time spent in a rural town.
The Argentine Tango is a passion of Mat's since 2020. When the dancing shoes go away he also enjoys sailing the East Coast and spending time relaxing in nature.
Lucy graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011 with a first-class Honours degree and in 2016 completed her MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour.
Lucy has worked with us since opening in 2012 and in 2018 became a partner of the practice. She is passionate about low-stress patient handling and offers behavioural consults for dogs, cats, and rabbits.
Lauren was born in Kent and moved to Suffolk as a child. She lives here with her husband and three young sons.
She qualified in 2010 after completing her Veterinary Nurse training at a practice in Ipswich. Lauren locumed at various practices around Suffolk before joining our team. In 2021 Lauren became our Head Veterinary Nurse, and a clinical coach - teaching our student nurses.
Zoe started working at Ipswich Vets4pets in May 2021 after moving here from Southend.
She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in March 2021.
Zoe has a passion for cats and has two rescue cats of her own.
Fleur joined the team in March 2022 when, after two years as a specialist nurse in a referral centre, she found herself missing the wide range of cases and skills used in a general practice setting.
Fleur qualified from the College of Animal Welfare in August 2019. A career with animals was an obvious choice for her having been lucky enough to grow up with several different family pets over the years.
Fleur enjoys all aspects of nursing, and particularly loves how no day is the same, with every day throwing in a new challenge.
In her spare time, Fleur spends most of her time experimenting in her kitchen, seeing friends, and spending time with her cat, Wiggly Worm (pictured above begrudgingly posing for a photograph).
Abbie started her journey with us through a work experience placement. When the opportunity arose in September 2020, Abbie became a student veterinary nurse. She qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2023
In her spare time, Abbie enjoys reading and spending time with her two dogs.
Hayley was born in Ipswich; she worked for BT for fifteen years. Following a career break to raise her two children, she decided to go to Otley College and complete a level three animal management diploma.
Hayley started at Vets4Pets in 2012 as a volunteer and is now employed as an Animal Nursing Assistant.
Megan joined us in November 2019 after working for Pets at Home. Previous to this she spent many years working in retail.
Megan was born and raised in Essex but moved to the local area in 2018.
She has always had a love of animals and decided to rehome a rescue dog called Watson from the Blue Cross in 2021.
In her spare time, she enjoys gaming and crocheting (especially lots of bumble bees which you may discover around the practice).
After completing some of her placements with us while studying to become a RVN, Molly has now qualified and joined our team.
Molly has always had a passion to help animals and is very interested in wildlife nursing and hopes to expand her knowledge soon in that area.
Molly loves to spend time enjoying nature and with her friends. Molly also enjoys spending time with her cat Ollie who is a wonderful 20 years old.
Stephanie joined us as a receptionist in March 2021 after 16 years in retail. Stephanie has had a love of animals from a young age so when the practice management role came up in November 2021 she knew it was the right move to make, combining her love of customer service and animals.
She has owned many weird and wonderful pets over the years. She currently has a Korthal Griffon called Nelson, a tabby cat called Mr. Digby, and 11 ducks (Quackie Chan, James Pond, Quack Efron, and Duck Norris to name a few).
In her spare time, she spends it with her children and family going on long woodland dog walks.
Kit was born and raised in Ipswich. She has been a customer of ours since 2012 with her Bengal cat, Halo Master Chief, and joined us in 2014 as a receptionist.
Before this Kit was a legal secretary. Since 2018 Kit has been a senior receptionist and is our insurance clerk.
Outside of the practice Kit is also a professional baker/cake decorator. She lives locally with her young daughter and husband.
Doug joined us in 2021 after a long career in finance and a poor attempt at retiring. He found this delightful Vets4Pets practice where the staff have a great love of caring for their visitors.
In his own time, he enjoys walking (particularly around golf courses), gardening, and being a Grandad.
Tammy is one of the Receptionists at Vets4Pets, she joined the team in August 2020.
Tammy's background is mainly in retail but her last position was working in the events department at a hotel. Tammy's passion has always been animals and has always wanted to be a vet's receptionist, so was very happy when this opportunity arose.
Being a pet lover, having her Jack Russell Max, and her cat Sophie, she knew a job with animals was for her.
Tammy's world revolves around family life and enjoying dog walks with her very own "Paw Patrol" friends.
Jasmine joined us at the start of January 2022 after moving to Suffolk. She previously worked at the Vets4Pets in Redhill so knew she wanted to continue her career working with animals.
Jasmine was born and raised in London and studied Sociology at the University of Exeter.
She has three rescue cats but her biggest dream in life is owning a Golden Retriever.
Sketty joined the team at the start of 2016.
Sketty spends his time at work in the office supporting the staff's wellbeing.
Since joining us Sketty has qualified as Chief Gravy Bone Inspector.
In his spare time, he loves exploring the outdoors and watching local wildlife.
Ally joined Ipswich Vets4Pets in 2016 where she worked as a receptionist for four years. In 2020, she briefly left us to explore traveling and time with her husband, but re-joined in 2022 because she couldn't keep away! (Her words, not ours!)
Despite loving all animals, Ally is a self-proclaimed "dog person", and has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Gruff.
In her spare time, Ally loves to travel, with Slovenia and California being some of her favourite destinations so far. She also tries to run and keep fit and enjoys scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with friends outside of work.
Karolina moved to the UK from Poland in 2013 with her family.....her love of animals started with 3 goats that she and her family had in Poland, and her love of pets continued with her dog Cookie and her cat Cosmo.
She enjoys spending her spare time with her family at their allotment growing lots of goodies.
