Meet the team
My name is Lisa, I am the owner and Veterinary surgeon at Vets4Pets in Carlisle. I wanted to be a Veterinary Surgeon for as long as I can remember. It has been a lifelong dream of mine, nothing else was ever considered.
I qualified at The Edinburgh Vet School in 2006 and I worked in mixed practice initially before moving on to work in an extremely busy, small animal charity hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne for over 3 years.
I wanted to open my practice in Carlisle as I love living in the area and we strive to offer a friendly, professional service with exceptional standards of care, to treat every pet as if it were our own. I love my job; it is my hobby not just my work and it always has and always will be an important part of my life.
Outside of work socialising with friends and family is always high on the agenda, walking with my husband and dogs, keeping fit, playing and watching rugby and being at home with all my animals.
Currently on maternity leave
My name is Catherine, I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Carlisle Vets4Pets. I have been a nurse since 2006 after completing my BSc Honours degree in Veterinary Nursing at Myerscough College. Since qualifying I have worked in both mixed and referral veterinary practices.
I have also worked for Askham Bryan College at Newton Rigg College teaching Veterinary Nursing. In January 2016 I started working at Carlisle Vets4Pets. My days involve conducting nurse clinics, caring for our patients in the hospital, monitoring anaesthetics and completing insurance forms. I am currently studying for an award in Emergency and critical care and anaesthesia.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my little boy and walking our dogs in the Lake District.
I have been a Registered Veterinary Nurse for over 10 years. I joined the Vets4Pets team in August 2019.
I have a keen interest in nurse consultations and anaesthesia. A large part of my role is the clinical training of our student veterinary nurses which I find very rewarding.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my daughter and little dog Dottie.
My name is Amy and I have been working at Vets4pets since December 2019 and began my course at Myerscough Veterinary College last September to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse.
I love all aspects of nursing especially being part of nurse clinics, in-patient nursing and caring for all the animals we see! I have always wanted to work with animals and have a particular interest in animal behaviour.
At home I have two Labradors Holly and Lucky, who take up most of my time be it going for long walks or playing ball in the garden!
I'm Catriona, the Customer Services Manager at Vets4Pets Carlisle. I have been working here since March 2017, when I first started as a receptionist. I've wanted to work with animals for as long as I can remember. I graduated with a degree in Zoology from the University of Liverpool in 2015 and was keen to pursue a career in animal care ever since.
Since working at Vets4Pets I have achieved a certificate as a Pet Loss Support and Bereavement Councillor, so I am able to offer support to those clients that need it. I have a long list of job roles, but my favourite part of the job is helping to keep pets (and their owners) happy and healthy.
I love getting to know all of our clients and working with such a fantastic team! Outside of work my free time is spent socialising and travelling with friends and exploring the Lake District with my two basset hounds, Maisie and Matilda.
My name is Jenny. I’m a receptionist at Vets4Pets Carlisle and have been working here since January 2020. I achieved a National Diploma in Animal Management at the Newton Rigg College at Penrith in 2006. Ever since I was little, I have always known that I wanted to work with animals.
When I joined the team at Vets4Pets it was like a dream come true! I really enjoy all aspects of my job and working with such a dedicated team of people. I always love getting to know the clients and their pets.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, playing with my cats Tigger and Isabelle and my rabbits Casper and Maple. I also volunteer as a rabbit fosterer for the Kilngate Small Animal Sanctuary.
Vets4Pets Carlisle is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
